There are still spots open for the competition in January. That is ridiculous, there are a lot of cars here that will never see the track except from a space in the parking lot. Well, who's going? I will be driving up from SD the night before..

Glad tha people just don't sign up cause you have a drift car.

Waste of time for people that actually wants to compete.

Good point. But if more bad drivers sign up then there is a greater chance for me to win a set of falkens, and therefore I encourage it greatly.

Meatish: Upping the ante by lowest common denominator? hahahah just kidding buddy ( inside joke ). Good luck. I wish I was able to drive! I am seriously feinding for some track time. Maybe in another month or two I will get to see the track again.
Al, are you driving? Last time I really thought you where going to make it further! I have you on video from the C2 and you looked sick. Good luck!

Maybe. I don't want to drive anyone else car anymore, I've been doing this for the last 6 months.

I thought so either, but thats ok. There are better drivers out there.

it is true that in competitions/D1 searches lately there are drivers who shouldn't be there, people who are just beginners are best served getting the most seat time, competitions are the worst bang for the buck deal in terms of seat time. 5-10 runs at MOST during a day with a ton of downtime in between. However, just because you don't think you're the top 10-16 at a competition doesn't mean you shouldn't attend. High pressure, competition type situations are great experience to see what you are really made out of. To see if you can nail a course with 2-3 practice runs and be consistant during the judged runs. So intermediate drivers shouldn't psych themselves out and not do it just because they don't think they have a chance.

I personally don't have the skills to win one of these at the moment, BUT i suffer from a little performance anxiety, i don't do well when i feel a lot of eyes are on me/i'm being judged. The best way to get over that is to have a lot of experience under such situations and get used to it. Unfortunately i don't have the time or money to enter this one. See ya'll next time, haha.

You know, This is how I feel most of the time during competition. I fuck up cause of this.

I feel like all ther motherfuckers are looking at me and I fuck up.

Im starting to get over it tho. This year it will be different. I guess, I just said one day to fuck all the fucking fuckers that is sitting at the bench. Im here driving and they are not, so I win.

Performance anxiety definitely plays into it, plenty of people choked at the last competition. Just remember, this is for fun. Fuck the people watching, the only people whose opinions matter are the 20 or so judges. The only thing that should matter is you having fun and stomping everyone elses nuts into the ground, which is what i will be doing.. jk, good luck to everyone competing. And btw paul, you definitely have the skills to place in one of these.. you were kicking ass at the last comp..

You know why? Because there are always guys that manji that cannot control their cars and that poses an unnecessary risk to others at the track.

One advice: since this is a rare opportunity outside a regular "pro" competition where you can find many advanced drivers/instructors as judges, if you run do what the more seasoned drivers do already: ask questions. Just because you pay to do 5 runs doesn't mean it ends there. If you want to learn and be the best that you can be, ask questions. People like Benson Hsu, Ken Gushi, one thing they always do is they ask the Japanese D1 drivers that are at events to critique their driving. It helps them improve.

And I'm also driving too. HAHAHA.

not to hijack or get too off-topic, but are there any other socal events open to public that aren't comps? I've been looking and can't find any but I find it hard to believe that DDay is the only one.
