I'm really thinking its exhaust, but its a loud CHHHHHT CHHHHHT CRCHHHHHHT noise kind of like the noise of scratching gears, but its Very random and happens every little once in a while, i think its exhaust but im just wondering if you guys think it could be anything else

did you torque down the driveshaft bolts properly?... they got loose on my car (yes, not good) and i had a hell of a time figuring out what that rattling sound was coming from under my car. makes alot of noise going up hill.

did you neglect changing the throwout bearing or the pilot bushing?

You always change your pilot bushing when swapping clutches or doing a tranny swap... Though when I did my tranny swap I kept the throwout bearing that came with it and it feels fine. As for the sound it could be that bearing or maybe the driveshaft like aznpoopy said.
Im in a very similar situation, except i think its my heatshield. Im checkin it tommorow, but it might be the one surrounding the cat in the header, but i have it pretty bad.

could be anything thing, check for any thing around the fan, or possibly something loose.

its the heat shields are loose - the spot welds must have broken off.. drivetrain is fine.
