Just got back from my So cal trip, and my power antenna arrived. I decided to test it on my car to see if the motor worked without any success.. I have a 95 Base model 240sx, with factory 6speaker premium sound and factory harness to the s14 power antenna i bought, Also a Pioneer deck. I plugged the harness to the power antenna unit along with the antenna signal wire and it would not work. I put in a 7.5amp fuse in the a/t... and still no go... Even tried to ground the metal bracket on the power antenna motor to my chassis and it still wasnt working.

I decided to try it on my moms maxima, found out the harnness plug was the same, and i just plugged that in, turned on the radio and it worked fine....

Does anybody know if im missing a fuse or relay anywhere? Or maybe check the harness that plugs into my deck?

I think the colors of the wires that plugged into the power antenna unit were green, orange, and black.. dunno if there were stripped or what not, too cold to go outside and check..

thanks,

Davis

mine broke so I took it out, welded a plate in the hole, a little body filler, and voila! What antenna?

but that probably doesn't help you.

What type of wiring harness did you connect between your Pioneer car radio and the stock Nissan OEM harness?? If you used the Scosche Car Stereo Wiring Harness, see attached...... http://www.cardomain.com/item/SCONN03B?vq_id=none
it should have come with instruction on which wires to connect to your Pioneer radio harness to get your power antenna to work, (on the Scosche wiring harness it's either the blue/white wire or the blue wire..not sure which one). You are using the stock OEM Nissan S14 power antenna right? Or is it an aftermarket unit?? Sounds like the stock unit if you got it to work in your mom's maxima...
Anyhow, hope this helps...

Im not sure what brand harness i got my my deck.. but i went to circuit city.... and i got a harness that goes from nissan factory stereo harness to universal, then universial to pioneer.... then i got a atenna adapter so i could hook the ground/antenna wire to my deck

and yes, i bought a stock S14 power antenna unit

Sry your having the trouble bro. The ant. was test here before I shipped it on a stock system and since you got it to work on your moms. I would suggest getting a pinout for your pioneer system and for the factory and double checking to make sure it did not by pass something. Sounds to me like your problems are between the stereo head unit and the factory wiring. If you need some assistance PM me and I will see what we can figure out ;)

Green/white-trigger
Orange/green-constant power
Black-ground

Blue is remote lead from radio, make sure it's connected behind dash.

Circuit city uses Metra harnesses. Depending when you had your radio installed, they started to chage their harness to "quick-connect" harness. But they're still made by Metra.

Sometimes when you buy a lower model, it only comes with a blue wire (instead of blue and blue with white). So remove ther radio, and make sure the blue or blue/white wire is connected to something. You'd have to check the plug itself.
