I had to do the "walk of Shame" yesterday. This is what I call when you can't finish what you were doing to your car at the hobby shop before they close, and they kick you out. I will have to return today when they open.....I didnt take into consideration the time it would take to do this..PITA factor for me was pretty high..My Question is this:
This "EGR Unit" or whatever it is called could not fit anymore with my new Manifold...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/bjorkluv/egr1.jpg

So, I will not reinstall the unit...Since I do not have a plug for the EGR tube at the bottom on the J pipe, for now I just cut it, and rolled it a couple times to seal it...< I will go and find a plug for the Jpipe, but for now I will just leave it like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/bjorkluv/egr2.jpg

Also had to get rid of the stock catch can, so on my way back to the hobby shop I will hit a few stores and see if I can find a cheap one..if not, I can use a mountain dew can for a temporary fix..also didnt plan well for the install, the water lines were the biggest PITA, I almost just decided to route them together and bypass the turbine..but changed my mind...with the removal of the EGR ir IAV unit on the crankcase and the Stock catch can, and intake breather box I will have to tie up some lose ends as well...I wish I had money for a new Turbo as well while I had all of this apart..anyway here is a PIC of what it looked like when I had to leave the hobby shop:

Another oki bum, thats cool :) I was at Kadena for a while. You know whats fun, getting a van for free that was once owned by a officer and going on foster and having all those devil dogs stop and salute while they walk around while you drive beacuse of an O sticker. haha

Allright, well install is complete! This was a PITA for sure..and I usually work on peoples cars for free or beer and pizza, but to do this, I think I would have to charge..as far as the IAV or what I was confused and just calling an EGR, I had to do a few plugging of holes and the such...With the removal of the IAV and unit that was on the motor, besides the tube in the Jpipe I had to cut and bend, the whole system left me with 2 open holes in the Crankcase cover, an open hole in the intake, and an open hole in the block where the the stock catch dumped to..the stock catch can had to go for room and the IAV as well...One of the good things about being in Japan is I do not need the internet to get quality parts fast, I went down the block and picked up a CUSCO Oil Catch can:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/bjorkluv/IMG_1947.jpg

With this, I ran a line around the front of the motor to one of the holes in the valve cover and the other hole I capped. For the hole in the Intake that used to go to the IAV, I just capped that one, here are a couple of pics:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/bjorkluv/IMG_1945.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/bjorkluv/IMG_1948.jpg

Since this thing is so fricken hot, I had to high temp wrap the Hot Pipes rubber parts that are near the manifold..I still have a couple of spots to heat wrap, I will do that later..here is a final PIC of all installed:

Then you have to pay the extra $3.50 for the over night storage.

God damn Kadena and they're Dunkin Donuts on base.

ohh we've got a taco bell....but they've got the slowest bunch of fuck sticks in the world. there's like a team of 20 back there, all 14 or 15, and you always get the wrong order!
