I was changing my oil today on my redtop and snapped off the thread that my filter screws onto. Now i can't put the filter back on. Any suggestions? What do i need to buy / what can i do to get my filter threaded back on? Is the adapter all one piece or can i buy just the threaded part? Please help! Thanks ahead of time.

Smart move guy.
The oil filter bracket is one peice. It *might* crossover to a FWD SR. Check around and see.

Unbolt it, replace gasket, install new one. For the average person, 3 minutes. But there doesn't seem to be any average people on here.

Or you can go with http://www.store.yahoo.com/phase2motorsports/sus13sroildi.html
and mount a remote filter kit so that its easy to change oil.

He still has to replace the OE bracket, you can't use a sandwich plate or block adapter without the OE piece.

not that hard actually. Just have to be able to feel into there and get an idea of what is going on. Sucks to be you though
i have an extra oe piece if you're interested... 40$ shipped without the oil pressure sender.

umm yeah. of course
its made to be put in place of the OE piece AND Block adapter for your remote mount filter.

Wrong. The block adapter replaces the OE piece. I know, I'm using it.

shoes, it replaces the OE piece and goes to the remote mount filter using -10an lines, right??
how you like it, i am thinking about doing that later on, instead of the block adapter.

Correct. It also makes it easy to route lines for an oil cooler. Great piece.

Some block adapters are like that, but not all.

Jim's a special kind of guy, I figured he had that one. But it's always good to point out the differences for the children on here.

if it was up to me, I would go for the special one too.
But my OE works for now, unless Santa brings it to me!!!
