I bought a used 2001 Nissan Altima Single DIN Radio and installed it today, with the diversity antenna adapter. The radio turn on but no sound, I am wondering if anybody knows if it uses factory amp or not, I know the double DIN uses it. Also if there is a way to get around this problem
Thanks.

Nope, no amp. What car are you putting this into?

Installation should be made into trashcan. All factory radios are crapola. :)

You may have your speaker wires grounded.

ITs going on my 95 SE with factory amplifier. I connected the antenna using diversity adapter and it seems to work, the only problem is just there is no sound at all.
Any help with this seriously appreciated.

if you have any spare speakers, you can try wiring em up @ the back of the unnit just to see if your getting anything out of it.

The Altima radio does not have a remote turn-on lead for the factory amplifiers. Bypass the amps and you're done.
