i know this sounds stupid, but lately, i've been wondering, where do you guys zip tie your bumpers?

i've seen guys that drill holes through the sides and do it throught he bumper/fender...i personally have zipties in all of the stock locations give or take, but my bumper dosent like to line up properly that way...

how do you guys do it?

if you line it up and tighten the zip ties as much as it can then it shouldnt be a problem.

If you just look around, you can get rid of all the bolts holding your fenders and bumper. Then you can replace all of them with zipties.

I removed my bumper support as well. My entire front end is held on by zipties. Works great, tastes great, less filling.

Out of curiosity why would you do this???

If I remember correctly. the bumper only takes about 6 bolts to remove anyways? Is this a JDM drifter type thing to keep you from messing up the body if you hit a solid object???

i ziptied my splash gaurd and on the highway around 120km/h it came loose and snapped a ziptie...
it was basically on the ground scooping up air..it was alot of wind resistance :D

no problems with the zipties guys. Just use larger ones for bigger things, like your bumper. Zipties save bumpers. I've hit my bumper going off a curb. Shit just flies off, and doesn't bust up.

lmao fenders!

i only have 3/5 bolts on my fenders (1 reason is cuz the apron is sunk after pulling the frame :-\...still lines up though, sorta lol)

zipties holding the front bumper, both liscense plates, bracing part of my ghetto I/C piping...WAS holding on my side skirts

my ziptied bumper saved it a efw times
hit some stuff andit just poppedoff. bumper was a ok

my rear bumper only really survived beacuse it was ziptied on when i kissed (ok..humped) a guardrail

the bumper fell off..just as it should!
rear was held on by 2 zipties! hehe

ziptied front have had the bumper fall off a fe tiems and its really mostimportant because to jack up the car, i ahd to take teh bumepr off to get the jack under to the toe hook because i need two jacks to get to the x-member
so its good for that too

the lights (bumper lights) were hooked up on a easy disconnect (when bumper fallsoff) setup as well.

i hit the rail the bumper got a small crack adn some big scratches but stayed in one p iece and fell off lying in the road..perfect!!

now all you need is a tether system so you can keep driving and it wont get run over! :p

how did you rig up this quick connect system? mine are quick disconnect for me, only because the thread on the sockets broke off, leaving them just sittin in the holes...kinda bad kinda good
