Pics are now up and can be viewed by clicking here! (http://www.driftfactory.com/driversearchfinal.htm)
Congratulations again to all of the drivers who qualified. There are ten US drivers that qualified for the Dec 19th US Vs Japan D1 competition. There are also 18 US reserve drivers that will be called up if more Japanese drivers make it to the US.
The Driver Search was a success and eight drivers got their D1 competition licenses.
Out of those eight, four qualified for the US vs Japan event which is impressive considering that they just got their D1 competition licenses on the same day.
One of the highlights of the day was Nomuken taking the Signal Auto S13.5 around the track. He didn't quite fit into the large American Bride seat and people around the judges booth were scrambling to find miscellaneous pillows, seat cushions and bits of foam in order to wedge him in.
We look forward to the 19th event. We will have a booth there, feel free to swing by and say hi.
More pics to come from the 19th event. Stay tuned!

Yes I agree.
Rigged contests of skills are no contests at all.

Actually it's not that; they decided to not let me run b/c of "safety concerns", over how my KA might backfire and start a fire on the track, about how my exhaust was "improperly routed" even though it points to the left, when the real reason really was just that my car is ugly on camera and no good for their video.
D1 doesn't mind a nice car being crashed on film, but they do mind if you drive a crashed car good.
And the really sad part is, on Thursday they said I could drive my car and changed their mind on Saturday. Complete waste of my time and money.

Backfire? lol...after seeing the 5ft flames from a stock SR being flogged around the track I don't see how a KA could be any worse.

we know you got skillz... thats what really matters? right right? hehe
One D1 driver search was enough to show me how a lot of stuff was messed up. i'm not doing any more of those for fun.

Wow...KAs make more backfire than SRs?!?! Theyre worried bout KAs which came stock in USDM 240sx but its OK to run SR swapped cars which are illegal as hell in the states. Once again...WoW!!!

Hehe my friends KA backfires like hell all the time. His exhaust has no guts in it, and I believe he is running rich.
