I ordered one of those indigo white face gauge off of ebay and I'm really satisfied with it. I don't like spending money on stuff that don't really help the performance of my car but for 35 bucks including shipping I'm cool with it. It lights up the area of my dash perfectly. I don't know if anyone else thought this but I think that the dash area on the s13's are too dark at night and makes it look like theres something missing. I don't know maybe the correct way to fix that problem was to install some gauges. Does anybody have that OBX short shifter thats on ebay I've been looking at it and want to hear some opinions on it before I decide if I want it or not. I know that 240sx and short shifters never really worked well but can anybody tell me.

short shifters helps shorten the throw to each gear, (say, the distance between first and second gear is closer), thus you get a faster shift (like, .5sec?) ultimately, stay out of gear for less time. which is good

i'm one of 'em spoiled brat that learned my stick driving skillz on a modestly modded up 92 tercel (yes, that was my 1st stick car) and it had short shifter on there. I had some trouble driving "regular"/"non-short shifter" later on, because the short shifter gave me a solid shifting feeling... that might just be me...

i've heard B&M makes a good shifter, it runs over 200... meanwhile OBX makes a shifter for 80, but i've heard it breaking... so i'm probibly saving up for my B&M

Yeah...a short shifter makes the throw a lot quicker, and easier, as the distance your hand is shifting is also shorter (due to a longer thingie at the bottom...u know?)
pretty much everycomany makes one for a ton of cars...and their pretty usefull...i would recomend getting one.

So I'm guessing from what I read is that the OBX short shifters break real easily. Does anyone out there have one.
