can i cut the starter wire in my engine bay and put a switch there to interupt it? and can i use the turbo timer harness somehow as a kill switch? i dont wanna really do the fuel pump kill or anyhting else.

yes.... put your starter/ TT harness wire on the "on" side.. and a wire to the battery with a fuse to the off side... done... good luck..

do i really need a fuse? shouldnt the line running to the turbo timer harness or starter already have a fuse?

nevermind, is there a fuse i can pull on the driver side kick panel that can make the car not start?

yea, the fuel pump fuse, its the 15A one like 3rd from the bottom on the left stack or something like that. if you really wanna make your car hard to steal...keep it locked in a garage. because no matter what you disable...you can't touch a flatbed

be careful what you put switches on. both the fuelpump and starter are high current circuits, because of this you don't want to stick a low current radioshack/autozone rice isle switch in there unless it's on the coilside of the relay. sticking it on the load side, or inline with the supply will be a firehazard.

you could also wire in a hidden toggle switch under the dash that will cut off the connection to one of the main ignition wires at the ignition harness. if you have the toggle in the "off" position, and you try to turn the ignition all the way, nothing will happen. the toggle should be very well hidden, note: not visible even if you look under the dash, the wiring should also be tied up securely so its not hanging around loose. this setup would work well if you were to leave your car in parking lot or other place that you might be worried about it. i would also suggest having an alarm in place to act as your primary protection for the car, plus most alarms have an actual starter kill built in, but thieves today know this and know how to get around it. the toggle will basically be your backup in case the thieves do try to hack through the alarm system.

Fuel and starter SOLENOID arent necessarily high current, I would say the starter itself uses a lot of amps, but not the solenoid or fuel pump.. those are all less than 15A.
Besides, you DONT add switches on circuits like that, you add relays to disrupt the power. Switches add unecessary resistance, relays are for people who understand electronics and want a smarter solution.
Seriously though, dont kill the starter.. kill the ECU or something else (fuel). Starter can easily be bypassed.
