What do you guys think if it. I love it. Even in the yella. It;s 300hp now too :rawk: And I like the wheels way better.

eh...looks cool, but i'd expect more from a 35th anniversary model. i mean, c'mon, only 300 hp? that's only 13 more than regular Z's. now if this model came stock supercharged, then maybe it'd be worthy of being an anniversary model.

anniversary models are about appearance packages and maybe a little tweak.
asking for a blower is retarded.
p.s. as long as they dont bump it up to like 40K it'll be totally worth it.
but it will be more then likely 40k lol

its 300hp but they toned down the torque a bit so no big difference...other than that it looks the same

dont speak too quick about slow... you're the one driving a SR20d car not even making 250whp...
go over to supraforums and tell them how quick your car is because you can outrun stock 350zs

come on the fact that he lists all his mods in his sig as a badge of honor shows how clueless he really is. give he little guy a break :)
p.s. anybody that knocks a Z before driving it should be whipped badly.

screw anyone that puts down a 350z fact is in Japan everyone is driving them instead of the Skyline coupe. Yup you heard me right. All the Japanesse guys are complaining about the Skyline Coupe turning into to much of a luxury machine and not being sporty enough. The Craze in Japan is for the Fairlady 350 not The G35 aka skyline coupe. So all you ill informed american haters need to take a step back and look carefully before dissing a 350z its much more of a real sports car than the G35 Coupe. Oh ya I forgot , alot of you really aren't into owning real sports .eh tu to all the evo and sti owners hahahahhahha j/K

350z's are a blast to drive in stock form. Havent had the chance to throw them into any twisty roads really but I really enjoy the power delivery and almost everything about the car. Good stuff, to bad they should have just made them have 300hp from the get go. I still think they could squeeze another 30hp out of that engine "easily" which would make it compete more with some other pricey cars(m3)

i don't thing they would look right on an s13, hatch or coupe
z looks tight, though
OR they could shave off 200lbs of weight ;) make the track version a REAL track version, shave that bumper, remove the sound deadening material; have lighter seats, etc, etc...
2900lbs and 300hp in a RWD NA car would be fun i think... especially considering the powerband of the Z

You have to see it in person...the picture doesn't do justice for how nice the paint looks. I really like those wheels...but since they only come on that model....they will be pricey.

my parents both each own a 350z and i drive my dads a good bit. well a good bit since they only got them 2 weeks ago. But anyways dont underestimate it it hugs the raod in stock form its not as nibble as my 240 ,if your in a tight spot, but its got some power.

I like 350z's, but the yellow is just lame. It makes the car look like a giant block of cheese. And the wheels arent that great either. Track edition wheels are much nicer.
If I were in the market for a 350, i'd buy a track model over this one any day of the week.

It needs a subtle ground effects kit and needs to lose the pizza cutters. Is the R33 GTR the only nissan that had some nice OEM fatty square looking rims on it? As far as Im concerned all USDM Nissan/Infiniti OEM wheels are weak as hell when paired with what they came on. You'd think nissan could take a page out of BMW's playbook and get some nice looking wheels from the factory.

35th Anniveray 350z could use a kit for sure! There are sooo many nice 350z kits out there too! Why not team up with Nismo and give it a little bit of a style change? Not to say that it's not a nice ride like it is.. but it's not 35th Anniveray special.

Post it in the MKIII forum; I bet you'll get *lots* of hate! The MKIV forum you'll just get mocked.
On topic: The 350z is awesome. About time it got as much power as the Z32 (All 350z models get 300hp this year). To stroke wootwoot a bit more, they should be pushing more power than the M3 -- 350hp would be perfect!

My bad -- you're right:
Nissan North America Inc. says the new 35th anniversary 350Z sports car will boast 300 hp with its standard 3.5L V-6 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
That’s an increase of 13 hp over the 3.5L V-6 that powers the standard 350Z.
Nissan modified the engine using revised pistons and camshaft and by adding electronic exhaust valve timing control.
The 350Z Track model with the same transmission also will have the new engine. It goes on sale early next year.

Automatic transmission equipped models are now outfitted with downshift rev matching for smoother shifting
YAY!
and manual transmission models now come with reduced clutch pedal effort for easier operation.
GAY!
The optional navigation system (available on 35th Anniversary and Touring models only) now has a faster system processor.
wow, is it a 386 to 486 processor upgrade?!! Just think, now you can access your navigation faster.. how incredible is that! NOT.

INFINITI = Luxury, come on dave.. we all know that. As for the new Z, I like it.. its a good car.. but I wouldnt necessarily call it a hardcore drivers car. There are very few cars that are like that nowadays. While the Z is nice and I had one for a couple weeks, so I had plenty of time behind the wheel.. I cannot say the car is hardcore. Its basic, its nice, but its very subdued. The car needs modification to bring out true sportscar essense. And for what? In the longrun, you still have a heavier car that comes with power windows and power steering. There are a lot of goodies that could (and should) be modified on the Z, starting with the wheels/tires. The factory wheel/tire setup is absolutely horrible and kills the performance of the car. The car is very snappy and tail happy too.. much more than the S13, harder to predict.
To stroke wootwoot a bit more, they should be pushing more power than the M3 -- 350hp would be perfect!
I've heard that many of the newer M3 motors have had lots of engine failure, what makes you think that 350 is suitable for the Z motor? What makes you think it will be durable and reliable? I'm all for more power, as long as the motor is durable.

Honda has been cranking out reliable 100hp/liter engines for the last 15 years. The M3 problem was either a manufacturing or engineering issue that BMW should have addressed before they sold the car to the public.
What makes you think it will be durable and reliable? I'm all for more power, as long as the motor is durable.
Your car is still running, right? How many abusive miles have you put on it? Is it making more than 100hp/liter? I think Nissan is still capable of building a powerful and reliable engine. Before we go into turbo vs NA, see SR20VE.
On Topic: I hope that there is a crazy aftermarket (like S13) for the Z33 in 10 years. I would love to build a Z33TT on the cheap.

Hmm i love that new yellow... wonder if i should go with that or the metalic blue on the p11 g20's *hope some of yall know what color that is*....
on a side note... anyone like this Z compared to the last gen? I see a z32 everyday at school and its not as appealing as the z33's i see around town.
Looks like nissan is gonna be the shit again this year in sports cars *my opinion*

Another 50hp out of what it is currently at would be rather rough and might hurt the driveability. 20 would be doable and the car does need serious weight reduction. If Nissan got the weight down to 2900 with 320hp, yum...

The Z32 was an instant classic. IMHO, the styling still doesn't look dated 15 years later -- instead of caving into the melted jellybean look (see Toyota), the designers made a subdued, unique and beautiful car straight from the factory. 1989 - 1993 were GREAT years for Nissan cars (S13, B13, Z32, R32).
The Z33 is a more of a flashy 'me-too' car (door handles, interior, back-end) but still manages to tap into classic Datsun/Nissan 'heritage'. I hope it ages as well as the Z32. I definitely agree that the Z33 is (currently) more of an attention-getter than the Z32.
On topic: SCC recently had a feature about a light-weight Z33 (IIRC, fiber/lexan hatch, racing seats, wheels, exhaust, etc) -- very impressive. I'd also love to see an instrumented road test of Forsberg's SR lightweight Z33.
Sorry for the long post.
