HOt wheels with a nice lip. But for your safety I think you should invest in a couple of jackstands and a hydraulic jack.

Agreed!!
Also, I hope you are doing something to the rear quarter panels. Your wheels don't fit :p

for christ sake people...
too high offset = bashing
now
too low offset = bashing????
shut the fuck up... his wheels will fit fine. You act like no one has ever run offsets like these. You wont know how far the wheel will stick out until the car is on the ground.

i wasn't bashing. by the look of things it looks like its goign to be sticking out mexicali style. i noticed he only has one lug nut securing the wheel so maybe the wheel will be in more. but it's not flush. if he runs negative camber than it will probably clear his fenders.

looks good, those pics don't do any good on fitment. Wait till tires are on and camber is at normal. Should look good. You could get away with just a roll if you have enough camber, or pull. Offset too high for overfenders in the rear (since most are freaking huge).
Wheres the rest of the kit?

And he'll have to put the wrong size tires on I'm sure (stretched) but this isn't anything new for 240s. GL with the fitment....and hopefully you don't have to stretch too much, unless that's your thing. I go for performance before stretched tire look though. There's a reason JGTC and other racecars use normal tire size on their wheels.

and why is it that most D1 drifters use stretched tires?

Because they use stretched tires for drifting, maybe because it gives you less grip. I was talking about jgtc and racecars  :fawk:

and it all depends what he wants his car to be? does he want a drift setup, or a jgtc setup!

like kidynomite said, those pics dont do any good on fitment. You people are forgeting, the car is lifted. When i have my car on jacks with my r33s with a 25mm spacer (17x9 + 5), they stick out too. But as soon as its back on the ground they sit perfectly flush. and all i had to do was roll my fenders.
So everybody stop choking on your cherrios about how the wheels stick out and wait and see how they fit with tires and when its on the ground!

it allows more predictable response/transitions
ie. better turn in and generous break away

when will people learn that drifting doesn't explicitly requries less grip? If that was the case, we'd be running 185 all season generals all the time and not brand new 100+ dollar tires.

Great description. There has to be a compromise between grip and breakaway for drifting. It's definately about grip too (D1 use Rcompound after all) but too much grip and it can become difficult.
I have a feeling these may fit very nicely w/out fender mods. It looks damn far out there, but after on the ground things will change like everyone said. If it does fit, it's gonna look badass!

Sorry drift monster, I'll put down my magazines and get back to engine swaps. I never did say stretched tires were for looks...but would you mind telling me exactly what "stretched" tires are for? How do they help drifting? I feel that they make a pink car slide better, but that's just my opinion. Keep it fresh too cool for school.

what did i just tell you?
do you want a diagram and a 5 paragraph essay to explain to you?

Did I not say "great description"? I agreed 100% with your answer, and was just annoyed at dousan's short answer with no explanation, but rather a pointless comment saying "stretched tires aren't for looks." I know they aren't for looks, but there are so many kids that stretch their tires on their 240 mearly for looks and nothing else. Sorry for helping this go so far off topic...but as I tried to mention earlier before getting bashed by dousan, the car should look real nice if the wheels do indeed fit.

okay i thought you were being sarcastic about the "great description" thing.
its just a misconception with the option mags and drift heaven mags that kids will see these streched tire setups which is commonly affiliated with the "drift car" image and try to imitate that without knowledge of the real technical benefits and drawbacks of it.
it is the definitive example of people "following the leader" or like lemmings i suppose, and not knowing what it does. its like kids seeing a v-mount set up and thinking that it looks "RAD" and attempt to imitate it without prior knowledge of its benefits and drawbacks.
i can see where dousan is coming from when he said that, because its something that i would say as well.

Nope, I really was agreeing, it's actually one of the best descriptions I've heard. It's sad that people will follow this "stretch" tactic purely for looks and cruising, but that comes with all fashions of motorsport.
BTW, I have the Rays 57F Pro on my supra, love them. You will enjoy those 57pros no doubt. Mine are 18x10 +32 and 18x11 +21. They weighed decently too for 18x11.

Man!!!! be quiet!!! :D
So.. The car need lot of work, is a project now..I've only try the wheels on to see how it looks, remember that here in Italy I think is the only set of 57pro..so I've never saw it live!!
The 9" +0 is for another S14 with: Msports complete kit + +20mm front fender and +50mm rear fender..
Mine is 18x9 +12, and I've plan to pull the fender a little.. In front I only go with some camber for my 8 1/2 +22..
Unfortunately I need to wait some times before seee the end of the works..
I also need to repaint the car, white or??don't know..
I've the full G4 kit and a msports vented carbon hood.. (in my opinion is not awesome quality carbon..)
I'll post pic of the car in progress!!
Only talk today with toyo for a possible sponsorship..maybe the car come the Italian drift champions rappresentative.. :eek3d:

Help me with that, can I fit a 9" +12 on the front with a wide fender like chargespeed or msports?? or the wheel is to big??
If is possible I sold my wrong rear to another s14owner..for the front..

You can fit a 9" +12 on the front without wide fenders no problem. I run a 9" + 5 in the front. All you need to do is roll your stock fenders and dial in some negative camber. Anywhere from -2.5 to 3.0 will be good. And depending on how low your car is, you may have to run a smaller tire.
