And I'm getting an SC50 with .63ar stage 3 wheel to set on top of it. I'm sure forum vultures will want my parts, but that's another thread.
I'll snap pics, and hope to get 3 dynos, my current setup, the bd/sc50 setup, and a *secret* setup :D

.60/.88?
How long is the turnaround for BD?
Jeff240sx

BS is 2-3 weeks turnaround.. I'm looking at 2 for my manifold.
The turbo is .63turbine and .60 compressor.

Will you have a boost controller with that as well? Anything to tune A/F? You've been babying that engine too long now :)
Let me when/where for the dyno, I'll meet up w/ you!

Scott-tune and sometime this month. And ya.. provided I plug up various leaks and things, I'll get a boost controller and ride out at like 350hp.

Boostdesigns hasn't shafted anybody. Boostevolution is the company that screwed everybody including me. Boostdesigns has excellent customer support and he's honest. The only thing they have in common is the both have their mani's built by atr. I've purchased many things from boostdesigns....as others have too and had good experiences.

I found out today that I my OBDII scanner doesn't work w/ the S13 Scott-tuned ECU :(
I've got various leaks myself. Come down this Saturday, I'll be fixing mine.

Why would a OBDII scanner ever work with a S13?

Nice turbo pics. You should try Woolite for darks, it helps keep them dark.

I just got my downpipe in the mail...excellent build quality. I think $550 is very reasonable for the mani/dp combo

Jesse - Seems like common sense :P But I can't plug up leaks until I mount my manifold, turbo, ect.
Kandyflip - WTF!?!
Boost Designs sold their manifolds to Boost Evolution, and that was the extent of their relationship. Totally different companies in different states.
On a side note, where the hell can I get a nice t3 5-bolt downpipe gasket?

I'll have hte mani in a couple weeks, then another week while it's at the ceramic coaters.
The turbo has been coated, and I paid $635 for it. It retails at $699 + $70 for the coating. I'll let you guys know about the spool and manifold in due time.

ROFLMAO!!!!! Who is doing the coating for you?
Jeff240sx
12-02-2004, 11:39 PM
The turbo was done by HPC. I'm going to ProCoat, a local Tampa coating company that's been around for 10-15 years. But only if they'll do the inside and outside of the manifold and downpipe. I think they said they could, but don't usually...

Machine shop??? Resurface :-/ I've never seen a gasket like that before or have had a problem with one leaking.. Just my opinion though.

It's going to be ceramic coated housing mating wtih the ceramic coated downpipe, which implies an uneven surface mating. Just like I picked up a composite t4 on center gasket, I assume there's a t3 gasket out there somewhere.

I looked around, called places, even talked to Mustang performance shops. They said copper gasket would be fine.
I never found one for mine but it's not leaking except where Scott broke a bolt...

Hey Jeff, how does your turbine housing mate up with the bd downpipe? Do the bolt holes line up and everything?
