Bought a blacktop swapped s14 and discovered 2 rockers that split in half and a very chipped camshaft lobe, all the other rockers look fine as well as the springs though I do not know how to spot faults in spring and retainers. It's only the right cam that's got a chipped lobe the other seems about fine. my question is should i tear the engine out and inspect the cylinders along with anything else that could've been affected or should i just replace the rockers and the camshafts. I drained the oil and somehow didn't see a single metal flake so it might be healthy. I'll attach some pictures, any help is appreciated <3

I just swapped out my rockers and shins and put it all back together. Just make sure to clean out any metal floating around in the head

I had an identical crack to the rocker on the left, I believe the cause was the hard cut from the ECU at 7200 RPM. Its brutal on the rockers to go from full boost and load to hard downshift essentially.I was lucky enough to not have any cam damage. Make sure you can fully assembly the broken rockers and find all the shims. Check you oil pan for metal as well. The oil pickup has a mesh screen but its best to clean it out anyways. Ask a local machine shop if they can clean up the cam for cheap. Cams are relatively cheap when compared to machine shop labor so I'd look into it. Look into cam mixtures and set ups if you want to retain the other sides cam. I've read that mismathed durations dont behave well on SRs lol. goodluck
