After amounts of research, I can?t find the answer I need, so to start I have a 1995 Lexus SC400 that I?ll be swapping a ?KA? into and yes I can go CD but have friends who bash on their stock UZ?s with KA trannies and hold up pretty well Lol. I have an excellent offer for a RB20DET Tranny with all new seals and bearings cheaper then a used KA24DE. I know the bellhousings are different but are they longer? If I were to swap a KA bellhousing then essentially it?ll be the same tranny correct? Also heard people say they used stock 240SX KA driveline and some say it won?t work? Are the output shafts the same? The lengths of the trannies the same too?

a KA’s boosted performance is best expressed through a lightweight chassis, any chassis close to a sub-ton weight. you will need the proper gearing on the diff and the proper gearing on the transmission to compensate for the 300zx heaviness, piston compression will need to bump up aswell.fitment is the easiest thing, it will fit, getting the most out the KA on that chassis is the challenge.
