go VIS!
everywhere i look, there are vented hoods for 180sx, s14 kouki, s14 zenki, and s15 but there are no tasteful vented hoods for s13 silvia. anyone knows who makes them? i would like to see a picture of how the msport vented cf hood for s13 silvia looks like but its not on renovas site.

vis definitely weighs more than 5lbs...i think hes looking for function over form
Why not go OEM CF? Thats what I plan on doing, once i get enough money saved up.

I have an OEM CF hood for S13 Silvia for sale.............. $450 shipped. Or... $325 pickup LA area.
Not vented. I got it from JSpec over a year ago and I am 95% certain it is Sunny Styling......... but Sam didn't confirm with me today.
PM me with questions.

im on the hunt for a good hood as well. i dont like the vis since it is a fiberglass shell wrapped in carbon fiber, but you do pay what you get for. i really just want a damn fiberglass hood since if it was cf i would color match it anyway. im not paying for bling, i want light light lightness.

Sunny styling isn't vented. It is an OEM style hood. It the exact design of OEM. It weighs less than 5lbs...So if I can't find Sunny styling, then I want something else extremely lightweight.
I am looking to lighten 'er up,b/c I'm planning on dropping some money into some braces and etc that will add weight, and I want to lighten her up anyway...
Thanks.
p.s. I've always liked the look of a black hood on a painted car....so I wouldn't paint it. I mean...wayyy before the 'ricers' came out with it,Dodge offered a black out option for their muscle cars in the late 1960's-1970 .

I think you want an OEM style Dry Carbon hood. It's the resin and clearcoat that adds weight to wet hoods.
