Im thinking about replacing my Falken ST-115's with these. Similar price... wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular tire.
thanks!

mx > st115's. i have numerous friends that have had the mx's and love them. both at autox and on a road course. i've also driven them and they grip really well. the mx's would be an upgrade from the st115's, so if they're similarly priced, go for the better tire

They're far better than the ST-115s. Less soft sidewall, stickier compound. Less sensitivity to extreme temperatures than the Falken Azenis RT-215, but slightly less sticky and an obviously less stiff sidewall.
If your tires aren't entirely toast and could last until next year, you might want to pick up a set of RT-615s in January, as they're lighter than the RT-215, have better traction, and less sensitivity to high temps.
MX has a lot greater grip than the ST115s. Grip is equivalent to Azenis RT-215 but the sidewall is not as stiff and not as affected by high temps as the Azenis.
If you are using these to drift, not a good tire.

i have them on my supra. The thing i found out about the mx's is that they have a relatively soft sidewall, hence stretching and alil over inflating is the best. Despite soft sidewalls these tires gripped a lot better then even my avs sports. MX are the way to go i love them for their price and grip but make sure you are going to stretch them.

Is this for your DD? I'm just wondering because the MX is a summer tire and probably isn't worth shit in snow.

The MXs won't last as long as the ST115s if that's a consideration for you. Altough, I think I only got 20k out of a set of st115s. It's not like they are a high milage tire either but I think the MXs would be a good bit less.

From what I've reason Miata forums, is that the MXs are lighter than the Azenis.

Much lighter than the Azenis RT-215s. Those tires feel like they're lined with lead or something.

they have steel sidewalls. The new ones have Nylon sidewalls. hence the dramatic decrease in weight.

Yup, I'd be all over the new azenis if they had some reasonable 16" sizes.
I'm totally up in the air about auto-x tires right now though. I ran 3 seasons on 205/55 rt-215s with decent results. Right now I trying out some 225/50 FM901s. I haven't had a chance to run them in the dry but you can literally feel how much lighter they are and it's kinda nice.
