I have a 91 s13 Silvia,with the triple beam projector headlamps.
One of the foglights,(the inner most green colored lamps),quit working.
So I used my multi meter to check the bulb for continuity,it was blown.
Just to be sure I also checked the wiring for a good circuit as well, its ok.
So here's the question portion of this post.
Where can I get a replacement bulb at?I have looked at all the auto parts stores in town. Most of them take one look at the bulb and give this uncertain look.Like they have never seen a bulb like it before.I need to find a suitable replacement, but it has a small bracket on the bulb that is made to snap into the retainer in the headlight housing.Nothing I have found will work.If anyone knows, please help.I love my car,and I cant stand to have even one thing wrong with it.Oh,and yes this is a coversion car,I dont live overseas.I just did the full conversion,LHD and all. Thanks :2f2f:

Have a digicam? Snap a pic. I've got a dollar it's H1 or H3. H1 looks like a sword with a big metal plate, and a single blade for the power. The H3 has a "tail" with a single probe, and the aforementioned metal plate (the ground for those bulbs).
I sell lights on Ebay.. so if you snap a pic, I'll tell you for certain.

Well I dont have a digicam, but I have replaced all of the other bulbs.
They were h1's or 2's,but the foglight bulb didnt match up to any of the types any of the autoparts stores had.It has two prongs coming out of the back. The problem isnt finding the right bulb type,I found the 55w ones with two prongs. The problem is the metal plate you referred to.It has two cutouts in it that snap into place on the headlight housing. Then a metal clip snaps over the whole thing.I havent been able to find a bulb that has the cutouts that will fit in the housing.

H7? Bulb about the diameter of a pencil, 1" long or so, with a half-dollar sized metal plate?

Well the bulb itself is as round as a sharpie marker. The plate is almost the size of a nickle.

h3c, only avail in japan.. not worth the cost, you can just throw in an H3 and modify the wiring to work.
the tail of teh h3 bulb receives the power, the metal plate should be grounded somehow.

I know you can find them somewhere in the US. When I bought my current car (triple projectors on it), the guy had found somewhere you could get the bulbs and he gave me extras. I've already blown one within 3 months, so when you find them buy plenty of extras.

Cool. Didn't remember where he got them. Thanks Russ.
Also found this site. They say they have a minimium order of $25, but still way cheaper than the ones on ebay. Just look on the Halogen bulb page.
