What do you guys think? The discoloration of the #2 con rod cap

spun would mean literally that...it spun out of original placement...I cant see the pic but if its is showing heat then theres definitely a lubrication issue...if its grooved then just need more frequent oil changes or many other factors

whatever the cause, it definitely looks heated AF. I wouldn't put the motor back together like that. I'd have the crank mic'd. It's possible that the clearances were too small there. Hard to say without cracking it open other than, yeah, it looks like it got really really hot from the looks of th rod cap and crank.

pull the cap and see what the bearing is, pic loaded today lol, also will give you chance to see what crank looks like...
