These are really cool! I've never received a vehicle from Japan with its plates still attached and there seem to be very few authentic secondhand plates available for purchase worldwide.

That said, there's a company in Germany on ebay that will bang out a JDM plate exactly to your specifications for $60. You can choose the prefecture, vehicle code, hiragana series, number on the plate, as well as different color combinations like the white/green, yellow/black, black/yellow, etc. I wanted a front plate for my R32, so I had one made by them. I can't distinguish it from the pictures of real ones I've seen and the dimensions are correct, but I've never actually held a real plate to do a side by side comparison.
