I apologize for the piss poor quality pics. They had to be taken with my phone since my digital cam crapped out.
I had to swap out the oem projectors for left hand drive ones so I could get some usable light. I went ahead and upgraded to HID since I was in there. I used a pair of Ecode Valeo projectors from an Audi A4 with brand new oem philips ballasts and 4100K bulbs.

Find a new host for the High Quality pics, that watermark is friggin annoying. If you don't have anywhere else to host them try http://www.imageshack.us/ . You can host pics up to 1024kilobytes, FREE.

it a newer Apexi model. I don't see why s14a would pose a problem. I have seen 2 online with retrofits.

Here are the cliffnotes, sorry no pictures:
Just take all the screws and rubber pieces off of the headlight then put it in a pre heated oven at 250 degrees for 7 mins. You can leave the rubber strip that goes across the top front. Then carefully pry the lens front lens off with a flat head screwdriver.
Then take the projector mounting plate off by loosening the two adjustment 8mm bolts. Take apart the projector off the oem cutoff shield with a dremel. I used the stock projector's rear reflector cup to mount my new projectors...hard to explain without pics but I cut the cup off and left it's mounting base. The base fit right over the new projector and sandwiched it against the mounting plate. Use locktite on the screws.
I even used the oem s15 shrouds around the new projector lenses so the lights look completely oem.
Put everything back together and use the oven to reseal the lights and the rest should be wiring balasts, etc.

why would i be pissed, did the guy copy any particular product on my site? no he didnt, therefor i have no reason to be upset. actually, i am happy.. happy to see that someone has taken the time to do what *appears* to be a good job, atleast he researched and put fourth the effort to try this retrofit. how good or bad a job, i dont know. my business is to look after my customers and my projects, not other peoples work.
as for the price, of course when you DO SOMETHING YOURSELF its going to be cheaper, hence the phrase "DIY." you guys DO understand that he's using gutted headlamp components? Its ILLEGAL to sell headlamps that use gutted components of other headlamps. Companies that offer such services can be seriously fined. Our headlamps all use DOT-compliant projectors. You have to PAY if you want to PLAY. I can tell you straight up, any business that sells products that are a liability will end up biting them in the long run.
ps: S15 products arent even listed on our site, we only offer S14 HID retrofit at this point, and are currently working on S13 triple projector retrofit but waiting for new components to become available before we take on such a project.
