View Full Version : wiring aux fan to compressor trigger wire

in my head it makes sense. I only want the aux fan to turn on when the A/C compressor turns on. I’m running 1JZ in my s14.

Basically using the positive A/C compressor trigger wire to triggeR the relay to give power to the fan.

I would personally activate it from the low side but this will work as well

Could you possibly explain? If there is a better way I wouldn’t mind doing that.

Preference not necessarily better.

When I say low side I mean trigger the solenoid from a ground as opposed to a positive voltage

I just saw it says AC, so the method you have illustrated is ideal

I understand, thanks for your input. I’ve got a 12” pusher in front of the condenser which kicks on with a thermo switch in the ups rad hose. I’m using the oem 7M dual 6” efans and want to wire them up only to kick on when the compressor turns on.
