I did a search with little results. Would a stanza 24e short block bolt up to my 240? I need a new bottom end and found an inexpensive stanza 24e. Mostly would the head, motor mounts, and transmission easily bolt up? Thanks

A guy at my old shop used to have a Stanza and I'm pretty sure the blocks are completely different. I believe there were casting marks for the mounts, but the front cover, water passages, intake direction, bellhousing bolts, etc are all different. Not worth the work to make it fit IMO. Try sourcing an engine fro a Nissan Hardboy D21 truck that came with a RWD KA24e. Hell I've personally thrown away two 100% working condition KA24e engines into the dump. Shouldn't be hard to find even with the late 2000's 240sx tax.

We built a 240sx 24hr Lemons car a few years back and used a KA24DE with dual exhaust cams. She ripped and dipped all damn day!

finally found out that it won't work! Not that easy to find a decent KA-E around here that doesn't cost more than an LS motor.

talked about doing a DE swap but don't want to tackle it before this race. maybe before the next one. Going to rebuild what we got.
