New working on cars ended up buying a sr20det s13 anyways. Been working on this car for the past 4 weeks and the last thing is the maf. Ecu is reading code 12. Decided to change the maf to an isr z32 maf and the car dies immediately. The maf before was also a z32 but using the old on the car stays on, idles but only could rev up to maybe 2500 rpms. Not sure if all I need is a tune. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Could be that wiring is slightly different. Check the signal wire and 12v matches the new MAF.

Just checked wiring is good but my 12v is only getting 11v and the 5v is getting .90v for some reason

What are you tuning with to allow the sr20 to run a z32 maf?

So far I've tried 3 different mafs two isr mafs and one oem all do the same but the on I had on the car when I purchased it. That's the one that keeps the car idling fine but doesnt rev passed 2500

+1 check all wiring, make sure ecu isn't fried and last get retune...

If engine RPM stops at 2500
that means the ECU does not see ANY MAF AT ALL (its like having no maf)

So consider with the new maf plugged in, are there any leaks ? If it’s reading the maf but had a bad vacuum leak it will run like poo
