koyo copper radiator..anyone got pics or info?

my buddys got it, funny thing is ive never seen it, so i donno if hes just bullshittin me, but i guess its cheaper than the others right? well they also corrode, sounds like crap, but guess it cools way good, is it gonna cool the same when it turns green, (obviously I dont think that changing colors will affect cooling, well besides a little, like wearing white on a hot day compared to black, I mostly mean how when it corrodes and shit) if so maybe it is a good idea, guess Ill find out when he puts it in and drives it for a while. im sure mor people have em though.

regardless of what was "best" or "best bang for the buck" i paid $300 for my koyo 2-row alum. and it kicks ass. its placed right above the koyo copper and everything else is just higher and higher up.

look at "OEM replacement" radiator shops.

Wicked? That's a pretty strong term for an OEM replacement radiator.

Koyo Copper/Brass Radiator for S13 w/ sr20. $220 shipped from Enjuku. I haven't had any problems with mine... Great fit, good cooling (I haven't tracked my car or driven it in hot weather, though).

yah btw, I guess c&R discontinued their line, someone said they are making a bigger and better, hope so, cause I treid ordering from 4 people and they all said they didnt have em and not getting em in, and like in the link, they say that all the copper is, is no bling, but, i dont care about bling, Icare about the properties of it, I know its gonna cool, but will it last long and will it cool as good, lets say a year or two down the road, but anyway, I guess the fact that koyo has too many fins, didnt really hurt, but whatabout this new one with lower fin count, is there any one that sells em right now, that is guarenteed to be the new one.

That's awesome! I have a Yashio Factory 3 row brass radiator with the stock fan shroud. Good to know copper/brass w/stock fan shroud works better than aluminum.

From what I could tell, C&R was redesigning their radiator based on a lot of the info gathered from that test in the first link.

Also, I wouldn't worry to much about those copper/brass rad's failing. They are what comes on almost every new car made. Use antifreeze, and regular (yearly) flush/fill's and it will stop most of the corrosion.

hmm well im sold on it, plus I remember this guy who did the test, he started off with a thread, a way while back, and said, oh im gonna do a test, then i responded with something, like "oh yah good luck findin those rads, theyve been discontinued," so I think they already planned on doing design changes, but im sure they took a lot of the info in to account, should be badass, too bad I cant wait that long, looks like im gonna get the copper brass one.
