Intake manifold gasket question

Hey guys quick question: I'm about to reinstall my intake manifold onto the head. I thought I saw in the fsm somewhere that you are supposed to add rtv as well as the paper gasket to the coolant opening. Am I making that up? Thanks in advance for your help!

I just assembled mine few months ago I didnt put any rtv as long as ur using new OEM metal gasket it will be fine.
Just looking at the fsm and it doesn't say anything about rtving the manifold

I've pulled my intake manifold, just cleaned the surfaces and used a new IM gasket. Didn't use any RTV.

i usually use a helper such as rtv or coper gasket spray...ensures no leaks as manifold surface can warp...
