this thread is about aftermarket vs. stock exhausts. it ends up with me and a few guys vs. a daperformance rep and his buddy who says: "Ace isnt a mechanic and apparently knows little of how cars work." and "Ace is not smarter on this fact and is really showing his stupidity. " So, if you like me, if you don't like me... it's worth the laughs, and maybe you'll learn something.
I put up dyno's, dono how helpful they are tho...i mean it proves that you lose low end torque with aftermarket exhaust...and who really cares about topend right? since you race at no higher than 3k rmp anyway...
I got your back, buddy.

"240driver and slowslump: You two are the dumbest fucking people I have ever seen post on any forum, anywhere. I am embarrassed to even view a forum that you two have posted on and if not for Ace would actually have lowered my IQ by subjecting myself to your idiotic and moronic rantings.
Please, you keep your stock exhaust and maintain all the torque you can. Then, when you come up next to someone with header/exhaust and they hand you your ass, you can talk about how great it is to launch at 800rpm and shift at 2500rpm.
Exhaust and header can add power to any engine. It's been proven. Ace obviously knows what he's talking about; he's substantiated his claims with cold hard proof. Quit talking out of your ass and misleading the newer members of this board who might not know enough to steer clear of your bullshit."

The KA needs backpressure like a blind man needs contacts.

ugh, I can't stand that forum. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
"I am doing the same. Or I want to. I am going to get a universal muffler. I saw one on the Borla website. the Boomer series. Its the Spit Fire(Oval muffler). I plan to order it and when I get it, I'll get it welded on. Is that a good idea."
Its like getting this mod (a weld on muffler) is going to greatly increase performance <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dozingoff.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
*sighs* oh well <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Well I guess I don't need my 5Zigen fireball exhaust anymore. Good thing I haven't intsalled it yet. I guess I'll let it go for cheap since I'll be making twice the power by welding the end of my exhaust shut and stuffing the intake with some old socks. Dude, I'm gonna be laying down nines by this this weekend. Anyone think a ford fiesta clutch would fit on the 240? I figure that will have so little clamping force I'll never be able to spin my tires and have the best 60ft times ever, plus its probably way cheap.
Well, I'm leaving Zilvia and freshalloy now. NICO has so much more insight than any of you brainwashed "tuners." 240driver speaks the truth*
