Hi everybody,
I need your help in order to choose the correct turbocharger for my S13 with SR20DET (BT).

I'm looking for more details and the difference between GT2860R and GT2871R. First of all, i read that for SR20 the GT2860R actually is named GT2560R, because the first one fitting only on RB engine, is it correct or not?
If yes, the GT2560R gives off at maximum 270 cv as per Garrett details herein attached: https://www.garrettmotion.com/racing-and-performance/performance-catalog/turbo/gt2560r/

But my SR20DET has now (with stock turbo) 270 cv and I would like to mantain this starting HP, for the moment due to the engine is completely stock as well.
In the future I would like to reach about 350/400 HP.

For this reason, I thought that GT2871R it's the better choise, but I'm scared for the turbo lag respect the stock turbo.
Another possibility is to buy a GT2860RS but I don't know if it is Plug&play for SR20....

Someone could help me ?

Thank u

GTX2867R would be ideal if you want to stay garrett. It has really good boost response but still can get you to your target HP range on pump gas.

Thank you! I know GTX series is the best in terms of HP range and usability... but is another level of price as well...

I need a GT series... :(:(:(

I'm a big fan of the 2871, get the .64 housing to avoid to much lag...but look at the boost maps on them to see where you want to be and not be outside the efficiency range of the turbo for your horsepower goals

2871r .64 housing like stated above. You’ll appreciate the quick response and decent output for this price point

Meh i'd just spend the money now and get one of the new Garret G25 turbo's that outperform everything else.
