Hello, this would be my first post and I’m still getting used to this forum and how it works. So bare with me I’m sure I’m doing some noobish nonos already. Anyways, I traveled from L.A. to Sanfran and purchased a 91 s13 Coupe that was originally automatic I believe (which is why I’m slightly confused because I’m getting some different answers) . She has a 95 S14 KA24DE swapped in (Yes it has that bolt at the back of the head near the firewall) and it’s now a 5 speed. Can someone direct me to a thread or help me here that explains a bit about the sensors for a 95 swapped into a 91? My TPS is getting stuck at 3K RPM every other red light and I end up having to get out and reset the throttle body cable. I also need a new coolant temp sensor along with a new pigtail since my pigtail is cracked causing my temp to jump around while I accelerate. Thanks !

Would want to know if they used the s13 or s14 engine harness when they did the swap.

Hey would I be able to check which harness I have by opening my door and looking where the front of the door and the inner side of where it meets with the chassis (think of next to the side of the steering wheel but on the inner side of the dash. Or would I be able to identify by looking at which MAF I have? I recall reading that if I have an s14 MAF I have an S14 Harness and vice versa

Looking on the driver's side won't tell you anything. If you pull the cover off the passenger side, though, you'll find the ECU, which would tell you whether you have an s13 or s14 harness. '95s can be tricky though, cause IIRC, they use a different ECU, but they were still OBD1. MAF sensor will tell you which harness you have too.
I bought my '92 with a 5 speed swap, and frankensteined KA already done, so i dunno every nuance of the swap. I think mine is a s14 block mated to the s13 head, but i don't have a SCV, or any butterfly valves in the IM which is confusing. I can tell you 100% that i'm running a s13 harness and ECU

This is exactly why I want to stay away from buying already modded projects lol. (Thank you... Nearly a year later)

Your sensor are borderline identical between the 2 swap. and when they are different its usually just how they connect to the harness, but they are usually the same sensor. they use a single and 3 wire oxygen sensor between the 2 cars s14 had heater 02
and welcome to the forums
