As many of you know. I was selling my car and parts to pay for a lawyer. I have thought long and hard, and have decided i would rather go to jail than sell my car to pay the lawyer. I have gotten the charges reduced so most likely it would just be a few months in jail. I can live with that. I also have purchased a new front clip for my car, and in the last two days, partially rebuilt it and put all my parts on it. It is now in running order, and I will be doing a full attack on whatever competitions are on the west coast next year. Sorry too the people that wanted my parts. But i just cant do it. Thanks for the support though.

DAMN... good luck man. I would probably go the same route as you, I wouldn't want to sell a car I've put so much time and money in.

Good luck with your new car. I was damn impressed with your last one, and am sure you will build one even better now. I love the cut away doors the most. Where you able to have windows with those?

You'll think this until your actually there.. Then you will go "Shit i should of just sold my car". Think about the future. Think about what can happen in jail. You need to think this over a little more because your making a dumb decision.. I dunno if you have ever been arrested before but your definitly not gonna enjoy..

dude jail's not that bad. I did a week for some driving stuff and the time goes by pretty quick, plus from reading your other posts it seems that you have been in there before so...... anyways just read a lot of books, learn to play different card games, and you'll start to like soap operas.

A week huh?!?! You were prolly in some minimum security county type jail..Come down to NYC.. Spend a weekend in rikers or the Tombs.. A week is nothing compared to a few months. I think your making a mistake. Just think about the consequences...

medium security. but its not like he's going to a state penn. hes going to a county jail which are easy as shit. I'm just saying that its not like he'll be in there for life and I don't think that a decent lawyer thats affordable and a great lawyer thats outrageous will be the difference in this case.

Bla bla bla, especially for Annoying Eric. Jail is not that bad. Out of the three times I went to jail, the one I stole 4 jeep Cherokees, and use one to brake into a contreystore to get guns an ammo, I was put away for a minute. It is fine, the first night, you will feel like shit, and be depressed. When they turn the lights on at 7am to eat you will feel like shit until you get used to it. Give it a couple of days, before you get used to the food. Anything sweet (pudding, jello etc..), tasts like crap (unless it was tea). Things like corn bread you will hold on to. Plain ham sandwiches and government cheese were my favorite. Two times a week we got sweet tea. Get as many empty milk cartons and keep getting in line, to take to your cell later. You will meet some people, become friends during your 1hr brake, play Spades and have fun during the time you have. Ask for one of the sheets of paper that has every thing listed that you can have outsiders buy for you snickers bar 40c, extra socks 3$, boxers 3$ etc.. the back of the sheet is blank, so you can write letters or draw, etc.. to pass by time. Over all, it is not bad at all, and My car vs 2 months? Psssh ! It will be over before you know it.

Keep the car man....that bitch is TOO sweet to part out...good luck man. At least you got something badass waiting for you on the outside...
yeah it really brought a tear to my eye knowing you had to lose your car for this. It's really unfortunate that this happened, but i'd do the same as you're doing (although im willing to bet jails in my area are a little more rowdy then SOCal)
the best of luck to you, and i'll be keepin an eye out for threads about when you get out...take pics! hehe j/k

good luck with everything dude
wow, all this for a pellet gun.
your state is RETARDED.
if this information is alrady posted somewhere i would like to read about it a bit.
from the sounds of it i too did something along these lines when i was younger.
house arrest is not nearly as bad as jail, u can still do most of the crap you normally do it is just like you have really strict parents. most mennonite kids live like this anyways...lol
iono about the jail idea, it really depends on the type of facility. if they arent throwing u in with hard convicts then it might be okay but if u are, then sell the friggn car

well it sounds like he is off to Elmwood in Milpitas i.e. minimum security barracks type facility . Its were they put all the petty offenders and a pellet gun definitely falls into that catagory. If so its pretty much a cakewalk . I once spent two days in there years ago for missing a work weekend for a Traffic offense (reckless driving). It was pretty calm and if they still have full jails he might get shot out early( I was supposed to spend a week)
Its a pretty common occurence to let the first timers or real low on the spectrum offenders out way ahead of time .
Now if he gets the main Jail in downtown San Jose then he is pretty fucked thats were all the gangs are and the violent stuff goes down.

Sounds like a really shitty situation either way, few months is quite a bit of time. Anyway, it doesn't sound like selling your car to pay for the lawyer will necessarily keep you out of jail, so it's prolly a good idea to just forget it. Also, IMO it is the nicest 240 I've ever known of so yeah....good decision. :hs:

Ive spent 6 months in elmwood and 2 months in county, before. Does that answer your question. Its easy, and boring.
Thanks all for the replies.
