Thats low key^
As for the stock ones of the 8 240s me and my bro owned, all the ones my friends own, all the ones ive rummaged at junkyards, and all others ive gotten a good look at I have never seen or heard of the stock cup holders before. never saw a thread anywhere either. When people that know about 240s get in mine their like wtf is that thing,,it does get n the way of shifting though.
We always had a joke saying that 240sx's are sports cars because they never came with cup holders, I guess my coupe is a family sedan :)

That's why old school Porsches never had cupholders (not sure about the new ones). Ferdinand (Porsche) used to say "Driving is a two handed experience."

Besides, I just take the ashtray out and use that. WHen I have a top I can put back on, e.g. Sobe bottle, I just tuck it between the passenger seat and the rear seat, works like a charm.

*edit because my typing was crappy.*

Not a bad deal, there. I was looking for ways to put a cupholder there. I hardly ever have a passenger. And when I do, they turn into my cupholder real quick. "Here. Hold this." :fawkd:

But, I like those flip down ones. I've seen them before, but couldn't figure out the best way to make use of it.

PS: I'm stealing your idea. Yes. I am a thief. :mrmeph: :coolugh:

Actually, they didn't come with cup holders because no Japanese cars came with cupholders at the time. They only started adding them in the mid 90s due to Americans complaining they had no place to put their 512 oz. super mega gulps.

quick s14 cup holder solution

parts needed:
1)cellphone
2)wallet
3)drink

Use center console storage spot for a quick cup holder solution. First place your cellphone standing up in the spot closest to the shifter. Next place drink in the spot farthest away from the shifter. Now take your wallet and stuff it in between drink and cellphone. BAM! Now you got a motherfucking cup holder. Wallet prevents condensation from fucking up your phone. All you need to do is watch your elbow when you shift and you should be ok. Now if you have an expensive wallet wrap that bitch up in a napkin before stuffing it inbetween ur drink and cellphone. Wallet to skinny?? Well..... your broke ass doesn't deserve an s14 much less a cupholder. Stuff that motherfucker up with all ur credit cards and cash all the time and you wont have a problem. haha j/k

this writeup should be in the faq section or something...being bored at work fucking sucks btw.

no worries, i'm sure i'm not the first person to do this to my car. if you want one, go onto ebay and search for "marine surplus cup holder" or something like that. it's not perfect, but for $3 it can't be beat.

I do the same thing, except my turbo timer is located where you put your cellphone, and I use a pack of cigs instead of my wallet.
