Tire Kingdom owes me a lugnut. And I can't find my lugnut online. So.. I'll give $1 paypal to whoever tells me a) What brand/model lugnut it is, and b) where to get one (without saying buy a new set of wheels).

Let me know.
It uses a 12mm allen key to install/remove, and has "1.25" (thread pitch) stamped on the side.

looks generic to me. there are a few companies that make nuts like that. Go to a discount tire shop and ask to see their selection of lugnuts like that.

No dollar for you! I need a lugnut that fits my GT-Us, with some sort of Tampa-resistant security deal.
Help me out!!

looks like the ones from autozone or pepboys
a lot of places used to sell that style lug nut back in the 90s when a lot of wheels used that style lug nut. volk gt-c's use the same nut and the ones i've seen from mackin are all universal deals. i might have some at the shop, but i probly won't be able to part it out until i find out the cost for each lug nut

Kyokugen won't fit in the wheel.

throw those away and have them buy you a new set of these:
http://www.gorilla-auto.com/products/?sfID1=249&sfID2=252&productName=S%2FD+BOLTS&image=5529.jpg
gorilla sells an open-ended tuner style lugnut which i am going to use for my setup, since i have various different types of wheels, spacers, and run super long wheel studs. i need something tuner style and open ended, and this is the only alternative i've found for my needs.
anyway, i'm going with gorilla products.. they are the only ones at SEMA that seemed to have anything good. mcgaurd is good but they didnt have open tuner style lugs.

Those are shank type lug nuts with a slant/tapered edge. Not alot of cars used these. There's confusion with the other shank type that has a flat seat in the middle of the lug nut (refer to the bottom). I know Kosei used your same lug nuts on their "RT Penta" wheels . If they fit GT-U's, why not go to the source at http://www.mackinindustries.com/ for volk wheels. Kinda of a bitch to wait, but it's your best bet.

I checked out what we have on the shelf, all we've got are normal ones, we may have the shanked ones in the back, but I didn't have time to check it out, we were too busy all day.

They are called "acorn tuner style lug nuts"
Jeff240sx
11-18-2004, 01:02 PM
Boo! They all use some bullshit 17mm allen key, which goes into some other tool. Like a bigass socket or a lugnut wrench. Neither of which I have. I really need to find something with a 12mm head so I can continue to use my 12mm 1/2" drive allen socket.

Those lug nuts are not the same as the shank type. The shank type extend inside the lug hole. If you use those and have a cover for your GT-U's, those cover will most likely not fit because the lugnut is too long.
I'm willing to bet Kragen doesn't carry this type of shank tuner type lug nut. They MAY be able to get them, but they don't carry them offhand.

I haven't updated my site in forever. School and customer's sites are killing me.

Pics of my freshly washed car on coilovers cannot be found, however.

I found out today, we have a huge assortment of lugnuts at Kragen, I'll check next time I'm there and see if we have yours.
(Edit- I originally used the phrase " an assload of nuts", which didn't sound right...)
My old racing hart hyper tuners used those same lugs, and when i sold them to a honda owner, i had to help him find some lugs. i found only 1 set on ebay, and they were listed as "acorn tuner lugs". im actually going to my friends house where the old lugs are, and ill see if i could find them. if i do, they are yours.
