I am having trouble getting tires for my car. I am looking for something in the 225-45-17 size. The tire I am looking for will give a firm ride with no tire hop or bounce in the front. but hopefully still give a comfortable ride. I know I am asking alot but I have ridden on some venturas that did this on an altima. any sudjestions on what you guys use would be appreciated.

Falken Azenis are probably one of the stiffest when it comes to sidewall.
Go to:
www.tirerack.com
www.discounttiredirect.com
www.google.com (oldie but goodie)
That's where you can get better info.

Just a general agreement from previous threads I've read on tires here.
Kumho Ecsta MX...i like these tires personally but have never gotten to try the Falken Azenis sport...those will probably be my next tires

Tires that are to stiff I am afraid would dent up my wheels and make me need a kidney belt. at least in the detroit/ann arbor area.

Ive used extca 711s and they weren't to bad, and I know someone using 712s and it's very tolerable in this area. BTW I also live near Detroit.

i have yokohama es100's as well and i like them. They have good grip and a reinforced sidewall that make for a very good tire. I'd recommend them. and just so you know, i've run several brands/types of tires on my car.
