How loud will my car be??

Im going to get my exhaust made next week, im going to use an magnaflow stock looking oval muffler, with 2.5 inch piping, and I am not going to be using a resignator. This is on an na ka also. Will my car be louder than lets say some one using an n1 exhaust? thanks

A magnaflow without resonator and cat will be loud as hell!! They sound pretty nice too. Plus I dont think that magnaflow has provisions for a silencer so be on the lookout for cops. Is this going to be for one of your track cars?

I personally just found out how loud KA's can get. I made a custom 3" exhaust with a 3" cat and a 3" straight through Tanabe muffler, no resonator. It wasn't that bad with the silencer in, sounded ok. Without the silencer, it was definately louder than N1 and N1 duals, enough to want to look out for cops. Then came the header. OMG! sooooooooo fucking loud! without the silencer, it's as loud as my friend's FD engine with single turbo, 3" cat, and same tanabe muffler and no resonator. Like as loud as those Hachis that sound like someone put a megaphone on the exhaust. Much different sound, but that loud.

My KA is n/a too btw.

Yeah. bump that N1 setup, I have the Espelir cat system on a KA, and that keeps my ears ringing well after I've come inside, it becomes difficult to hear if you have the driver side window down, and not the other , cause the deep sound is thrown all around the cockpit, with the full interior, but I love it. . . we workin' with eachother, lol. As long as the exhaust is not lower than the car itself, you'll be alright with the lights, based on the fact that; If it looks stock, they will look later rather than longer at yah car as it passes em'. . . Cops are just as interested in what yah car produces as anyother ol' man on the street, the only diffrence is, they are brainwashed into obligation to uphold policies. hits em' like a conscience.

I heard the magnaflow on an old supra with 2.5 inch piping, his car didnt sound that much loudwer than stock, thats why im wondering is it just out motors that make our cars loud or something? I cant use an resigator, becase I plan to mount the muffler in the resignators spot

the only problem with mounting the muffler that far up the exhaust system is that once the exhaust leaves the muffler, it starts bouncing around the remaining tubing that takes it to the back of the car, which makes noise. That's why mufflers are at the end of the exhaust system, it cancels noise right before it exits the system.

I got a Magnaflow 3" w/ 3" piping, gutted cat, and 2.5" dp and its loud as fuck even with my turbo. I dont like it cause all the noise it makes and I got to watch out for the popo all the time. Its going to be replaced sooner or later.

heh i have a 5 zigen exhaust wit no res..and i'd rather juss go back to stock heheh...juss gets annoyin..hella loud...anyways..i dunno if magnaflow makes silencers..for the exhaust..but i know 5 zigen does! hehe

i have rsr with no resignator on my na ka. its not that loud. actually its not loud at all. it only puts out 105 dbs?? at 3000 rpm. wen im next to my dads car i cant even hear my car, and i dont even know if its on or not.

hey genius, comparing your car to your dads doesn't mean shit unless you say what it is. I could compare my car to my brother's ride. but if that turned out to be a tricycle, it doesn't exactly tell you much.

wat i mean is i dont think an ka gets too loud with just exhaust nd no resignator. nd my dads car is a mustang with four mufflers on it to quiet it down. nd his idle is freaken louder than my 3000 rpm
