Im about to turbo my ka, it is built with 8.1 pistons, 30 overbore. Im thinking about getting this setup, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7931398432&category=33742
What im woundering is when shold i be able go get full boost with that turbo? Also for the fuel system im thinking 600cc dropins with an afc and a walbro. Will this be enough fo rthe fuel. Im not sure if an afc can handle injectors that big. Will be tunned with wideband. Imput needed thanks. Im planning to get this beast to hit 400 so watch out.

there was just a thread about the same kit, search for it. It's less than a week old and the general concencess then is that it's crap like everything else it seems SSAutoChrome sells.

Well that turbine will start running out of steam at about 11psi so if you are looking to get 400 you will need T4/T3 with A/R .60 on the compressor side and a A/R.63 on the turbo (stage V) that turbo on ebay will start to surge at around 11 PSI

600cc injectors(if they make them) will get you to around 340whp at 80% duty cycle. 740cc injectors are more towards your needs.
8.0-1 compression is ridiculously low. why so low chum?
cams and head work will give your powerband a good kick in the upper end if you want any there, you'll need it to make good power.
i would get rom tuning to go along with safc use. there are two shops that do it in tampa(secret services and xat) and then the gentleman at enthalpy which isnt really a shop
look at this to help figure out a turbo

safc can adjust only +/- 50% over stock (270cc) injectors. So from that you can determine that the SAFC can not adjust for 600cc injectors by itself.

who said that? sources say ssautochrome uses garret compressor wheels and their own housings. Now i can live with crappy housings...

8:1 is rediculously low...try 9:1.
You'll need more than an SAFC to tune the car at anything over 250rwhp...timing control is important, forged internals or not.
Any regular T3/T4 will be runing out of breath at 400rwhp...that's probably 42-44lbs/min, which is on the top end of the flow for a regular T3/T4, even a 60-trim.
Learn how to read a compressor map, and choose your turbo based on that output.
I can tell you that a cheap eBay turbo isn't going to cut it...gotta pay to play.

There are plenty of AR .60 60 trim T4/T3 Stage V AR.63/AR.82 setups that produce well over 400whp. Compressor maps mean diddly when using hybrid setups. There are more than a few GOOD setups out there that defy the laws of compressor map INTERPRETATION. If you want a turbo that will produce 400whp+ I would suggest a T04S/T3 (60-1/T3 for you US goobers), straight 60-1 with an O-trim AR.58 or .70 housing, T67/T3 (67mm compressor blade AR. 70 mated to a T3 stage V AR. 63) or a straight T67. I am talking about the Garret T67's and NOT the Mitsu T67's. A 3" or larger dp is a must for these turbo's.
