Im bringing my baby back to life.

Im starting the restoration on Tuesday (November 9th). I have large plans and a lengthy time scale, but I promise to keep you all up to date with fly as pictures. If anyone has any questions while I have to car ripped apart, lemme know.

My car didnt blow up, my perception of "cool" did. I bought a 2004 Scion xB (5 speed, Blue) and thought I waz pymp. But fuck this FWD 90 some horsepower having bullshit...

The box and Clubscion.com are still mine, Ill hold on to the xB until I pay it of and use it for my down payment on:
a) house
b) 2007 Supra TT
c) 2006 GTR36 (??)
or
d) a bigger set of balls...

Apparently they went missing when I bought the Scion. Im really stoked to get the 240 back on the road, and being that I have the xB as a daily driver and dont depend on the RMS13 for transportation its going to be wild! So far in the works are a blacktop with a load of Tomei and JUN goodies, JIC suspension, Charge Speed aero goodies and bringin my biatch to a hault with Z33 brakes up front and minor upgrades in the rear. Im being realistic with a two year goal, but if I can pick up enough freelance web programmin, this might be doable in a year.

I was thinking CA18 to be semi uniqu, you know a real deal 180sx kinda thing... but fuck it, Ill be trendy with 300HP on a SR with bolt-ons and fuel managment...

The connections Ive made in the auto industry bring the prices in reach, and Ive been turning wrenches long enough to handle my own. I know your all gonna scream Rice, but its gonna be Corvette yellow. Any and all carbon fibery will be painted as well... this aint about show biatch!

So being away for so long, lemme get back up to speed...

If an engine has been sitting for a long time you should take all the plug wire off. Then turn it over for 15 seconds to prime it. Then remove the oil filter and start, let run for 2-3 minutes. This allows all the sludge buildup to be removed as well as removing any unwanted pressure.

I am rather chill... but Ill break it down for those who dont know;

My name is Rob Stires and I have had my 1990 240SX (Auto, FB) for chirst like two-three years now. My short list of modifications are H&R Sport Springs, KYB AGX Struts and a Corbeau 4-Point racing harness. Woop dee doo right? Well now Im rollin in the dough (right....) and I have a beater so I can focus my energy on the Nissan. Being as its not daily driven I can dig in deeper and deeper to get things done. I just got a quote from Top End Motorsports for the Charge Speed full aero setup (Fenders, 1/4s, Bumpers, Skirts). I didnt think I was going for the bodykit and yada yada, but I really dont feel like going through hours of bs to fix those fenders and the likes. The prices the quoted was pretty decent and if they can drop it a lil more Ill probably go for it.

Im not going to get the motorset until I get the body, brakes, and suspension taken care of. Problem being, if I have a turbo motor, I will want to USE a turbo motor. So Id rather not cut the project short and go pimpin around town in a "fast" car with lackluster suspension, braking, and body work.

that is tru, thats wat im all about the body work, i work in a shop around where im living, and i love it one a those jobs you love gettin up for every mornin, yah i just got done with about everything, had a veilside kit on there for almost a year now, and the body was pretty bad i made it look damn good, and painted it prowler orange came out awesome, no joke bout a week after it was painted, im sittin at a red light and sum fuuuuccccin 100 year old guy backs up into me im sittin arm out the window bang, guy jus backs into me, hole driver side quarter gone, so i recently fixed that up while i was in the process of doing the sr, and thats all good now im preppin it and gettin ready to spray it flat black, gota stock setup on the sr for now, i baby the hell out of it, but sum 550s, fmic, spitfire coils, gt28r, are all future plans, i bring home alot of cash, just i rather drift it, its quck enough for now, have sum tein springs, kyb struts, and greddy front n rear strut, sway bars, its gettin there and i love it, sorry for the story haha, nice meetin ya tho rob, kit pm me whenever.

You should swing your ass down here to South Jersey (Blackwood area 08081/08012) and turn some damn wrenches some time!! Good luck with the SR and futur plans, Im actually lookin to shoot a CA18DET down the track so we can contrast and compare with our 1990 (Fastback??) "JDM" powered Nissans!
