Those plastic boxes which cover up where the rear seatbelts attatch to the roof near the rear window, how do those come off? I need to protect the plastic and I can't get to the side facing out the window. Thanks.

I have mine out currently...and I think there is a sort of metal hook latch thing that holds it in..that you'll have to lift up on. Also know that the seatbelts will NOT retract in unless that seatbelt mechanism is parallel with the ground (the rear seatbelts wont roll up unless they are at a certain angle).

Is there a bolt holidn the cover down? Mine has a hole, but no bolt, and man it squeaks! I think I am going to put a bolt and washer to hold it so it will not vibrate and squeak on the bumpy roads.

i need to take mine off too , because they make so much useless noise ,like i wanna just drive and listen to the hum , but i can't with those damn things squeeking away , so it's alright to take them out , what about if you're getting an inspection???

Dunno about legality...I took mine out because Im dyeing the interior plastic black..and I havent put it back in yet. I'd put it in for the inspection, just in case.
