all you can seriously contribute to this thread is ... "you suck at the internet"? how about " my condolences to the driver who's career was ended by track negligence" or something insightful at least. but no, you're so hardcore you just had to insult the person making the story available to us.
it sucks hard to see someone just doing what they love be forced to quit due to stupid reasons like this. i hope he finds a way of life that makes him happy after this tragedy and goes with it.

WOW... scary just hearing it.
Flag guy about shit himself when the Porscha hit!
The Ferrari fit the Porscha's Fuel Cell located in the front trunk... the blast of flames is due to the spead of fuel. Fiberglass/ Carbon is not fire proof, but an addative can be mixed in with the resin... basiaclly it wont hold a flame... but as anything covered in fuel, it will still burn.
The corner marshalls were clearly scared to death and feared crossing the track... visablility was very very low and contributed to the cause. The Ferrari was deffinatly more than 30 seconds away. Also notice the guy at the end putting out ground fires instead of helping the driver out of the Porscha, or running to the Ferrari.
Very sad that it takes a tragic event like this to increase Safty Standards.
My personal favorite Driver of all time was Alex Zandari (CART, F1), whom tragiclly lost both legs.

I agree with madscientist. corner workers arent prepared when the serious ones occur. they trip out on most crashes. be happy they didnt want to be brave and run out on the track and get hit like when Tom Pryce hit a worker in South Africa, killing himself and the worker...I hold great respect for Zanardi and his accomplishments, yet the one I miss most is Greg Moore, he was a champion to be...

thats pretty unreal....he's very luck to live threw that one....Did Zanardi race Hondas? Since Honda named an NSX "race" package after him?

yep, cid didn't work for me. But yea, I think fire is my worst fear, especially if I start driving hard. I mean, that is some scary stuff, I'm glad that driver won his case, I haven't seen the vid, but 90 seconds is too long, I'm amazed he lived.
