so if you request to send as a gift you're automatically getting ripped of? maybe trying to save money for both seller and buyer. but w.e

For your own protection, Zilvia recommends that you ALWAYS send money as a "PAYMENT" and not a "GIFT". It is not the resposibility of Zilvia if you get ripped off because you wanted to save a few bucks on Paypal fees. "GIFTING" payments to people is a very easy way to getting scammed. If you want to make the deal legit, send a "PAYMENT" and deal with the fees. If a user is requesting you send a money order, DONT!!! This is the #1 way of getting ripped off! If the user isnt willing to accept a trusted payment solution thats online based and is reputable (ie: Paypal), we heavily advise you to steer clear of this. While I’m not opposed to gifting funds to people with the right reputation, Philip is a site moderator and making the “friends and family/gift” payment request is a well known taboo here.



Sellers:
If we catch anyone openly requesting to be paid as "gift" then it will be treated as if they're trying to take someone for their money and the thread will be closed, deleted or edited accordingly. I know that many are doing it because paypal fees, despite being in terms and conditions that all who use it agreed to, are ball-bustingly high these days (<--sarcasm).


Again, I’ve seen transactions happen with no issue and would likely personally “gift” you funds without worry, but lots of shitty people pretend to be good sellers like yourself, leading to naive dudes getting ripped which is just shitty for everyone/zilvia in general.
