What's up guys. On a cold start I do not get the standard "higher idle" like I should. Instead, on a cold start I get a lower idle initially and then it levels out as the engine warms up.
I purchased the car with the swap already done. I've always had this issue. It has an RS-Empathy tune so I expect the initial idle to be stingy on a cold start. Once the car is on for a few mins it sits around 750ish so I do not believe I have an issue with my IACV. I've done some research and from my findings, the FIC "Fast Idle Cam" on the throttle body plays a big role in the higher cold start idle. The engine has an aftermarket 70mm throttle body and it does not have a FIC.
So I'm curious, does everyone with a 70mm throttle body have this issue? Is there something else I should check? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
