Alternatives to plastic heater core nipples?

I am trying to find an alternative to the brittle plastic heater core nipples for my s14. Is there a solution to this or do I just replace them with another set of old s14 nips?

Aluminum pipes bent in the same shape, welded on the core.

Or fit a similar size core with a aluminum tube style
