I got my Bogarts today. WOW, the car looks like a race car now. The wheels fit PERFECTLY. No spacers, no adaptors, just bolted right in.

What size tires are those?
Fronts are 25 x 4.5 - 15
Rear are 26 x 10 - 15
The wheels and tires fit like Nissan wanted them there. I was stoked when they just slid into place and bolted right up..

Yeah. I was actually considering getting the 10 holes for the car instead of the Drag Stars. I thought the retro look of the 10 holes would make for an interesting appearance. My GF talked me out of those though.
Actually, if you look at the second picture, there is a fox body mustang on the lift behind my car. It has Weld 10 holes with slicks and skinnies. There is also a Slicked up GN in the shop with Weld Drag Stars on it. Its common for us to have some pretty powerfull cars at the shop. Hell, the first picture has Top Speed's single turbo converterd R34 GT-R in the background.

Holy crap I have been looking for a set of wheels like those ever since i saw them in a british racing magazine. So nice.. as far as i knew, only HRE made a set like that, and HRE's are $$$..

I was WAY too anxious to get the tires mounted and wheels on the car to weigh just the wheels. I did however weigh them once the tires were mounted. The fronts weighed 19lbs each and the rears weighed 31lbs each. All four wheels and tires weigh 100lbs even. Not too bad. The Borbet 17" wheels I had on my GVR4 weighed 44lbs each with a tire.
The wheels were not too expensive. I could have saved some money and got the Fly Stars but I wanted to still drive the car on the street so the P1 Billets met my requirements. I believe that a set just like these would have a retailable price of about 1300 + shipping.

You guys should mix shops, 240 body and throw the other motor you are good at tuning in there :). How is the other KA-T going (the twins' car).
Also is that Top Speed's Skyline in your shop, if so why :tweak:

I had thought about putting a 2jz in my car. It wouldnt be all that difficult for me (probably not too cost effective for a consumer) but this would have kept me from running in sanctioned races. I am going to compete in NDRA Turbo 4 next year. I was originally thinking about going RB30 but after making so much good power with the twin's car I decided to go all out with a KA instead.
The twin's car is coming along nicely. We have been trying to push the envelope with the car. It seems that a stock KA wont take 400whp without cracking ring lands. I have a motor going together with forged pistons so that we can see how much HP the factory rods can take. This time around, we will be shooting for closer to 500whp and hopefully 10 second time slips. Currently we have gotten 404whp and run 11.71 @ 118.54 with their car.
Yes, thats Joey's Skyline. He had some issues with some work that was done by a mechanice he flew in. We straightened that out and are currently working on making the underhood BLING. Then we will be tuning the Power FC and we will get the car back to him.
i went to lift a pair of Weld draglites up off the floor at my tire shop and when i picked it up it floated to the ceiling and nearly took me with it....hahaha
it was a 15 x 9 or so and weighed less then 6 lbs....
i want draglites.

Details are still under wraps. It IS a Nissan 4 speed OD transmission that will bolt into place with no mods to the body, shifter, etc. The transmission is already built and set on kill. I am working on getting a TC together to work with everything.

Is that a custom rollcage, or one you can buy. If it is one you can buy, do they have s13? Also, I searched everywhere on google for a price on some Bogarts, I found out alot of info but I could not find a place with prices. Do you know of a website I could go to buy a set? Your car is looking damn sweet, keep up the good work!
Thanks, Snail

Snail, Thank you.
Yes, this is a custom roll cage. It was built specifically for my car. It worked out extreamly well. It was kind of strange that everything fell right into place. The only issue we had with the cage was the door bars that were tight due to the seats I am running and the arm rest on the door pannel. We were going to try to bend the bar around the seat and then around the arm rest but ended up moving the holes on the seat brackets to bring the in closer to the center of the car and then making the door bars straight. This got the bar off the seat, but wouldnt clear the arm rest. I removed the door pannels and used a heat guy from the back side to soften the plastic and then popped the door pannel back on and closed the door. This basically re-formed the door pannel around the door bars. It came out pretty nice.
As far as the Bogarts are concerned, We are a Bogart Dealer and can get the wheels for you. I also know of a set of Fly Stars that are for sale that might work on your car. Feel free to call me at the shop Tomorrow. I will be test fitting the wheels on the twin's S13 so I will know if they fit.

Kid, we use LRT Racing Inc Chassis Works in Streamwood IL.
LRT Racing (http://www.lrtchassisinc.com/)
The owner, Rob, built a shop behind his house to work out of. This is his full time job. He has done an awesome job on every cage he has built for us. Yes, his shop is in his back yard, but this is NOT a back yard shop. This is a legitimate qualified chassis shop with all of the latest state of the art tools that a chassis shop needs to build a quality cage.
Feel free to give me a call and I can give him the heads up if your going to call him.
