Ok folks, here's the skinny:

In order to drum up support and maybe even a little enthusiasm for the site, we're holding a contest to see who has the most love for Zilvia.net. Top three entries (as judged by the admins) will receive a one-year Premium Membership and all its benefits for free, and the overall winner will receive 2 Zilvia.net stickers and have their entry posted on the root page at www.zilvia.net (the 2 runners-up will have links to their entries on the main page).

Now I understand that the prizes for this kinda suck. It's really only $15 for the winner and $10 each for the runners-up. However, those top three winners will automatically be entered in the next contest.

The theme of the contest is like I said - 'Show your Zilvia.net love!'
Figure out the most obvious, far-reaching, funny, badass, creative, etc way to show how much you like Zilvia.net (or just how badly your want to win) and take a picture, lay down a recording, capture the video, etc., etc.

The only stipulations to this are that 1.) you can't do anything illegal 2.) you can't do anything overly dangerous and 3.) it has to be editable to make it work-safe.
Otherwise, you're free to show your Zilvia.net love in any way you can that you think will win. MSPaint a new Zilvia.net logo freehand, get a Zilvia.net logo tattooed on you, get your significant other to let you write 'Joe_user LOVES Zilvia.net' on them or whatever. You get the picture.

Above all, have fun and show your Zilvia.net support!

FYI, the next contest may be a raffle. Either way, the prize will be something JDM, and worth more than a few Premium Memberships :eek3d:

This contest starts rightfuckingnow and ends Nov. 1st, so you've got 1 week!
There is no limit to the amount of submissions you make, but only one entry per user can be judged. Multiple submissions are encouraged. Current Premium Members and moderators are welcome to enter, and current Premium Members can either choose to extend their current membership for another year, or give it to someone else. Moderators can give their winnings to the user of their choice.

Disclaimer - I dunno. Is there a need for one? Don't get butthurt if you don't win. The entries will be judged fairly and impartially. Honestly, we don't care who wins. If we wanted someone to have a free premium membership, it'd have been done by now. Your submission will become property of Zilvia.net, and so will your 240 (ok ok, I made that last part up.)

Some people know the story of the tragic events that followed me just last summer, starting it off with a near-death experience and 16 days in the hospital. What people fail to realize is the strife that followed this surrounding my inability to get onto Zilvia and post like I have done in supreme fashion since I got by the problem...
Let's start at the tragic event of 06/15/03, highlighted in very prudent fashion by my good friend Brandon, you people here on Zilvia know him as "Steeles," in this thread (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=30864&highlight=sad+news) on this very board, started just 2 1/2 days after the shit went down... Follow the events of this thread to see where it went from there, my waking up on 06/20 and, after establishing that some portion of the news had been broken, lobbied like hell to get the damn nurses to allow me 5 minutes alone with a computer to get on and tell people what was up, all to no chagrin...
Fast forward the 16 days, 07/01/03, my 24th birthday, I am released from the jail I happened to have been born in, Moses H. Cone memorial hospital and come right home, have a seat at the computer and sign on the net to get on Zilvia to advise my people that I am still alive and... NOTHING, what the FUCK is wrong with this computer?!!? I get on Zilvia and internet explorer IMMEDIATELY closes. (I promise all of this is chronicled in that thread linked above)
... Fuck it, I have hated Netscape with a burning passion for the years that I have been on the internet, but it seems to be the way this time around. Download netscape... Okay, it's free, but I am on fucking DIALUP, so I will start the download, take my hydrocodone and take a nap, waking up in time to finish the shit up. This absurd plan actually WORKS, I can get into Zilvia and log in... Sort of... NOW the problem is that I must log in AGAIN at every link within the forum I click, then to get in the forum, then to view the thread, then to compose my response to the thread, then to SUBMIT my reply-- and then WHAT THE FUCK?!!? IT STILL WON'T LET ME POST!!! SONOFABITCH!!! :rl:
I'm not defeated yet, I have the utter vastness of the rest of the internet and all of the porn it houses, Dousan sent me MORE porn in the form of Options vids (Thanks Aaron!!!) I have 100-something DVDs and 400-something albums on my rack, lets not forget the PS2, all my books to read and the one I have been writing all these years. Besides, I will be busy as shit with docotors and physical therapy on an almost daily basis with this shit I have now gotten myself into...

To anyone who has ever tried waking up at 10am, eating brekfast lunch and dinner on a liquid diet with only a playstation2, DVD player, books and notebooks to entertain you for 10 weeks on end without what had previously become your favorite place to be on the web -- err... wait... YOU NEVER HAD TO DO THAT!!! It is now 11/01/04, 16 1/2 months after the incident and I looked into my noteboook at some of the rhymes I wrote while I was on leave from work, only to realize that it would be IMPOSSIBLE to re-create the anger it took for me to write them to actually go into the booth and rap them. My loss this time...
15 weeks (3 1/2 LONG summer months for you slow motherfuckers) I have been back at work 2 weeks and have access to the internet properly when on breaks and lunches, and I used this opportunity in this post (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showpost.php?p=320520&postcount=134) to reintroduce myself to the world, at long last. I would also go as far as to say that the bullshit "blaster" worm was the best thing to happen to my new computer as well, as it forced me into getting the new microsoft security shit, which would eventually allow me to post from home as well... I was so happy I jerked off. I was so wound up from having a broken right shoulder that jerking off caused a load that blew a hole in my television, 8 feet away (A.K.A. 'what the FUCK happened to the Magnavox')
Back to normal, and back to bugging the piss out of all of you, I made up for 16 weeks away from Zilvia with what has now (09/24/03 - 11/04/04) been an 11-month sustained period of SERIOUS post-whoring and ass-holish behavior, relegated mostly to off-topic when it was such and in the others ONLY when it applied...
Is that "showing Zilvia love?" you motherfuckin right it is.
