Well ladys and gentleman,
I find it is time for me to open my discussion on my first build as this is all new to me in a sense and input is appreciated outside of the other local friends I have met from the past 6 years of owning my car. That being said, about a month ago I picled up an s13 convertible shell that is completely straight and clean title. The year before I purchased a Ka. Now I had the intentions of the convertible becoming a daily driver and making my pride and joy coupe of 6 years into my track car. Since that thought has gone through my head...... and passed, I decided it was time to build my first engine. So I will start off with the current list of components i have picked up for my ka24det build

Manley rods
Arp headstuds
Tomei 270/270 poncams
Cometic full top end gasket set (including triple layer metal headgasket that i may have to reorder depending on what my machinist says to get to 8.5-1 comp)
Deutschwurks 550cc injectors
Aeromotive Fuel pressure regulator
Twisted motion gt2871r (going to be replacing this with a gt3076r)
Bc valve guides
Tsukuba timing set
ISR Bottom mount turbo manifold

*to yet be obtained*

Cp pistons
Tomei valvesprings and retainers
Intercooler set
Tial BOV
Isr 3-4 inch blast pipes
CD009 Conversion bracket
Cd009 trans
Clutch and flywheel
Downpipe

Now i guess the basis of me asking is if this frankenstein build has some good hearty potential of being something great, I know bigger injectors and the gt3076r is probably going to happen as well as the final tune being taken care of by martin at rs enthalpy. Any good tips and pointers would be recomended as I would like to encourage no trash talking as I am not new to the schassis. Just new to building a motor.

I cant stress this enough. don't torque the idler sprocket bolt to max torque spec, 50 is fine, and get a longer bolt that threads into the cylinder head deeper so you don't strip it out. ask me how I know

what kind of power are you trying to make??Well some things have changed for example bigger turbo and injectors. I should be able to pull right around 450-500 horsepower with 2 different tunes. An e85 tune and a 92 octane tune
