Hi,
I run a website called GTR-Registry.com (http://GTR-Registry.com) which specialises in obtaining the production data for various types of Nissans (mainly Skylines, GT-Rs, Stageas etc) and some other cars.
I have recently obtained all of the S15 production data and from that worked out all of the build numbers, types, colour breakdowns of each type, the factory options the cars were fitted with and put them all on a webpage for you:
http://gtr-registry.com/en-s15-silvia-200sx.php
All of this data is contained in an easy to search database which you can verify any of the numbers you wish. You can also use the search function to look up your VIN (generally recommend searching the last 6 digits) and see what factory options are fitted to your car. There are also filters so for example if you want to see how many Spec-R in TV3 blue there was built with a sunroof, you can easy find that information using the drop down filters and the search function. In the S15 Colours Breakdown section you can also expand most entries and find the numbers in auto and manual too.
Now to some numbers:
Total S15 built 43097 S15s (41954 coupe and 1143 convertible)
38741 Japanese Silvias (37598 coupe, 1143 convertible)
3879 Australian 200SX
477 New Zealand 200SX
There are 40 pre-production cars with no records (this is very common in Nissan records). For regular production cars there are 100% of records available. There are also 40 Varietta cars with no records unfortunately so the Varietta colour breakdowns aren't the most accurate.
Rarest colour is 326 White which is a Varietta only colour (123 know - actual higher). Next is BN5 Light Bluish Silver with 237 built. Third rarest is KR4 Sonic Silver which again is a Varietta only colour. Most common is WK0 Pearl White.
There are 645 cars fitted with HICAS. 643 are Spec-R HICAS and 2 are Spec-R Type B HICAS.
There are 1875 Autech Version cars and were only available in 3 colours.
There are 54 Autech Style A cars, 11 of which were turbo and 43 non turbo.
Also of interest is a single Australian 200SX built in AJ4 Super Red.
Any questions or feedback just let me know. I'll get around to doing the S13 and S14 one day.
Cheers,
Mark
