Son of a bitch, this is like the fifth time this has happened, this is a really bad one too, size of a pencil eraser behind my drivers door on that enourmous rear pane, broke the paint too... people are cock suckers, leave a fucking note and pay for the damage. God dammit, the car was perfect, no dents, now... crap, body work. I hope the guy (or girl) who did it gets hit by a freakin truck.

I park WAAAAAAAY out where nobody parks in the parking lots so that doesn't happen to me. &nbsp;My last car was a 1992 Olds 88 (that my dad gave me), and when I sold it at 117000 miles, it didn't have a single door ding or scratch in it, except for 1 quarter-sized gouge in the hood from a rock that a semi kicked up (I wasn't even behind him--I was trying to pass him and was along side of him, lol). &nbsp;

I hate door dings, and unfortunately the best way to prevent them is to park and walk a long way away.

the moonroof blew off my 'ol 200sx yesterday while driving during a windstorm, and then two people proceeded to drive over it, smashing it into a million peices. I went back to see if i could salvage the moonroof but unfortunately it was all spider webbed because two assholes just drove right over it. Didn't drive around it.. its not like they were immediatly behind me and didn't see it, they just didn't want to drive around it i guess. bastards...

I always worry about that when I park on campus because people have some busted ass cars and the parking spots are small.

Thankfully, faculty lot has some big spaces and you can park there for night classes.

HAHA, just last summer my back window got nailed by a foul ball about 4 inches from the top...i was PISSED. &nbsp;their coach immediately told me it wasn't the schools liability but i could call their insurance if i wanted (mind u i was not parked "near" the field, 100 yards back BEHIND the backstop). &nbsp;when i called their insurance company i was told that they have had similar cases and usually just pay for the window. &nbsp;i ended up goin through my insurance (comprehensive, $100 ded.) and they took the other company to court and i'm not too sure what happened after that. &nbsp;This was kind of a big deal because the average estimate i got was $1000+ ($600 glass + 300 moulding + installation). &nbsp;even someone who gave me one of my estimates said the only higher cost he's seen was for an expedition.

I go to San Diego State University, and all there is is mainly parking structures, filled with cars. I'll be lucky to find a space. I've already had a girl run into my rear quarter panel parking her car (on finals day, damn it), and numerous amounts or door dings.

Well, the people in my apartment building are all poor people. There are no nice cars, the only thing that is ok is a 2000 jetta base model. Fuckers. You should see them peer in my apartment when the door is open... it's like they are cataloguing thngs they want to steal. I can't wait to move in with my friend... then screw this stuff... so if anyone knows the name or address of a good body shop in the montreal area that won't anally rape me to paint the care I would be much obliged.

I feel the same way. &nbsp;One night, 6 cars on the row next to mine got broken into. &nbsp;For some reason, mine wasn't touched, although I think mine was worth more than any of those cars were. &nbsp;Last June, a 92 Honda Accord coupe w/ horribly ghetto wheels got stolen, and he only parked 2 spaces away from my spot. &nbsp;I'm paying for 2 covered parking spots so nobody will park next to me, and I'm always afraid that someone will vandalize my car.

Don't even talk about it. &nbsp;About two years ago, just three weeks after I bought my 240 I was at the library and when I came out there was a huge dent in my rear q-panel. &nbsp;And when I say huge dent, I mean the size of two basketballs. &nbsp;Someone apparently backed into me and drove off. &nbsp;Cost $1200 to fix out of my pocket! &nbsp;Bastards!!!

Heh...door dings....puhleeze...I have had much worse things happen to me. Ok, Senior year of high school:
We are all assigned parking, which you have to pay for of course (bastards). Anyways, the girl that parked next to me was pulling out of her spot, and she turned the wheel to soon, and side swiped my parents car (cause I didn't have the 240 then) all the way from the rear passenger side door to the bumper. That cost about $1200 to fix.
About a year later in my parents other car, I am on the way to class (this is now college), and I pull up to a stop sign in my neighborhood, when some jackoff in his ford truck cuts the corner too damn close and hits me head on. His kid wasn't buckeld in, so he flew up against the windshield and got a nice cut on his forehead. $1400 worth of damage.
A couple of months later once that car got back, I take it down to D.C. to go shopping a record shop (Yoshitoshi's). I park the car, and when my friend and I return, I find that the drivers side mirror is ripped off, the front bumper is dangling, the left front fender is demolished (completely dented in), among other things. I called the cops for that one, and he said that he saw it about an hour and a half ago (right after I parked it basically). For that one, I was waiting in a cop car for about an hour (it was rush hour) while my parents drove out to get me. I think it was $2400 worth of damage and about a month in the shop (don't ask why it took so long)
Luckily nothing has happened to the 240 yet, but that's probably because I'm so fucking paranoid about it. Well there was this one time I got out of work and found someones fucking Lincoln Town Car sitting on my bumper, but there was no damage. well, when i went to put the downpayment on my car, it seemed in decent shape...a few dents and scratches. &nbsp;When i finally picked it up, i noticed the front right quarter pannel was dented in pretty bad. &nbsp; I didn't see it before so i think the dealer hit it or somethin. &nbsp;What a shithead.

Then again, dents aren't so bad as finding a mysterious stain in the backseat of a used car......

Lol, I know mine sucks but there is a guy where I work who has a 2002 Jetta VR6, lent it to a few of his friends, they bottomed the car, broke the oil pan and didn't know, they drove it no oil for like 50 kilometers... the guy is up to 8g's of un insuarble un waranteed repairs (his friends are covinering it... but still) THAT would suck ass more than my dent.

Man..there these kids that run around the neighborhood spray painting cars and egging them. They got my car all up on the right quarter panel with their ms13 spraypaint(even though none of them are spanish btw). They got my exhaust too, which really pissed me off. I washed all that off, because they were dumb enough to paint my car right after the rain had stopped. And to top it off they egg my car, my moms car, and my dads van. But the thing about it is, I know who did it because the cops caught one of them last night. It was really funny because they egged this spanish guys car, and he ran out of the house and saw them run so he got in his van. He then chased them down jumped out of his car and said if they even so think of as to move, he would be the hell out of them. Yeah I dont give a crap about little shit on my car, scratched wheels, dings, my car is like 4 colors. But as long as there aint shit on my motor, I'm straight. I am also one of those guys that open their door with their leg, so basicaly, the door swings open and doesnt stop untill it meets the neighboring car. So please avoid parking next to a green, black, primer black and white 240 with sil front end in the atl area. Its not that I want to leave dings and shit on your door, its just that I am too lazy to use my arms.
