What is the easiest way to do bushings & ball joint on the front lower control arm?

I see people removing the brake caliper, rotor, entire spindle and tie rod but this doesn't seem necessary?

If you have an impact gun, you can use a breaker bar to remove the castle nut on the ball joint. Then impact the bolt off the cross-member and do your business.

I've done it a couple of different ways, including taking everything off. I prefer doing it by just removing the control arm itself.

I always just do the control arm by itself. The only things I remove are the sway bar endlink, and tension rod bolts. After that you just remove the castle nut on the ball joint and the 17 or 19mm (can't remember the size) bolt from the cross member. Removing the other stuff just creates more work then is necessary IMO.

17mm Bolt/Nut to the subframe, 2x 14mm Nuts to the Tension Arm, 1x 12mm? nut to the sway bar end link. Ball joint nut. Hit the knuckle with a good hammer to pop the ball joint out of the taper.

fire to burn out the old rubber and a small wire wheel on a dye grinder to remove the excess.

If I’m going to use ES 7.3114R once I burn out the FLCA bushing and wire wheel it clean all I do is insert them and I’m good to go
