My 93 240sx is puffing blue smoke when idling and pulling out it puffs a big cloud, also was overheating but i took the thermostat out and kinda temp. Fixed it

1) I'd stop driving it until you figure it out to avoid causing more damage.
2) Removing the thermostat isn't a fix. You just removed the car's ability to TELL you it's overheating & regulate coolant flow.
3) What engine is this?
4) My guess would be headgasket here, but I could be wrong.

Does it smoke on start up? If so, likely valve seals.
If not, likely rings.

Do a compression and leakdown test and bring back data. Bitches love data.

step 1: compression test
step 2: head gasket test (you can purchase the kit at most auto parts stores)
step 3: ??????
step 4: PROFIT

I cant stop driving it till monday then hopefully i can adress these problems but i had a feeling it was ring or headgasket but if she blows guess it a key time for an rb swap 😂

for now get some of the cheap headgasket repair in a can and refer to their instructions. should work fine for the next few days or more but definitely not a temporary fix.
