ok well i got a spare set on stock springs, and i was just being bored and saving money for wideband. So cut a coil off each spring. Now for those peeps that cut there springs? how did u get them to lay flat? because i noticed after cuttin a coil off they are lopsided and i think that when i go to put them on like they are, they wont want to sit right. What all did u guys do or what should i do? besides go buyin new suspension, hey if someone has eibach sportlines they wanna sell me for 50 bucks SOLD let me know BUT IF NOT, i am goin to go with the cut springs, till i get wideband, then i will save for some coilovers soo i hope someone can halp me out thanx

ok um obviously you didnt look much into the cons of cut springs, do a search, its very bad, you damage the integrity of the spring and it can shatter. so stop being cheap, and buy springs or risk killing yourself. please dont tell me that a wideband o2 sensor is your first mod either,

just like all the show cars out there. $10K in engine parts and no suspension mods. I fart in your general direction!

from what i skimmed, for some cars (and their stock springs) it can actually increase the spring rate, IF (and that's a big if) you know what you are doing. like knowing the mathematical relationship between the number of coils and the length and spring rate and blah blah blah.
it doesn't seem like something you want to screw around with if you don't know what you're doing.

i have just passed into the ka-t realm. i am goin not this sat but next to get dynoed and tuned so wideband in the near future is very inportant. and yes i am being cheap but why does it matter? i so have a spare set of springs, and i want to kut them big deal work is less then 3 miles away so i am not worried bout them breaking, and after i get wideband i will get something but till then i was wanted to try cuttin springs and see how shitty they are myself sooo
