I've been on Zilvia for a couple months now mostly buying used parts and trying to piece together this build part by part and now that its almost driving i figured id post up some of the pictures and give a little backstory..
**Disclaimer** i learned how to paint and weld while doing this project so if you see something that looks rough or not done right let me know. im trying to learn as much as i can and i know there are things i didnt do right with this car.
In early march i ended up picking up a 1994 S13 convertible with basically nothing but a trunk full of dual cam accessories. Come to find out the top was completely trashed and the rear deck had a solid bend in it from what im going to assume was a small tree.
This is the only picture i can find now of the car before i got my hands on it.
what you cant see is all the dings and dents in the doors or fenders and the whole mess with the back.

Being this is my first project i went a bit overboard at first trying to get the bodywork done and the more i sanded the more work it became. For not having any rust on the frame rails or strut towers the area behind the rear wheels were both toast. Not to mention the area where the convertible top meets the windshield.

After everything was straight i turned my gargae into a booth and shot some high build primer and sanded about 3 times before i was satisfied with the areas that needed help

while the car was in this stage i ended up doing all the suspension work since i had all the parts and i didn't have the money to buy paint and a gun at the time thanks to the IRS. Held my tax refund until July!
I also got wayyy too eager and decided to drop my motor in..
I bought this swap from somebody who already had it running in an s13 so it was a piece of cake.

I ended up cheeping out on paint and figured id end up painting it again either next year or the following so i ended up using Eastwood Single stage paint which was actually really easy to learn with. the customer service at Eastwood is actually really great as well. they actually have people who care about helping and will answer every stupid question you ask!

I had to respray a couple pannels due to a dog sneaking into the garage and bumping into just about everything!
you cant stay mad at that face though...
